Some of the new tracks on this album feel like demos straight out of the studio. Not all of them, but a significant portion. The old Bully songs he altered excessively. What happened to Highs and Lows, Circles, and Preacher Man? Preacher Man’s vocals are some of the worst Ye has ever recorded. Honestly, I prefer the AI version of that song. J Cole has amazing bars and lyrics on this album. The production is the best part. I felt like I could hear everything. There are a few bad songs like Fire Squad, but everything else is pretty good. Wet Dreamz was definitely my favorite.
I’ve been a Juice fan for a long time and I’m pretty disappointed. I kinda was expecting this disappointment. What was Juice’s team thinking? The first half of the album is bad. The second half is okay/good. The mixing is kinda weird. A few of the songs sound the same. I feel like the team just did this as a money grab. On a positive note the good songs are great. IGOR is an experimental hip hop/ alternative R&B album that does not disappoint. Tyler has amazing lyrics and vocal performances. A lot of the tracks are unique although in my opinion one or two fall short to the rest. I would recommend this album and I’m sure i will like it even more after listening again.
