Sade - Diamond Life
95

THE SAXOPHONE AND HER VOICE I AM LITERALLY ASCENDING TO HEAVEN

Queens of the Stone Age - Songs for the Deaf
100

Best sequenced album ever???

90

Man I really have to watch Twin Peaks at some point
Also there is a literal jump scare in this album I'm not kidding

Deafheaven - Lonely People With Power
85

Deafheavens soothing yet abrasive sound is something that I imagine many people have to get used to, but once it clicks it really hits hard
I still prefer Sunbather but man this is nonetheless a serious AOTY contender

Fiona Apple - Tidal
85

There is no way that she was only 18 when she wrote this

blink-182 - Enema of the State
65

This album is interesting to me because when I hear most of the songs on here on their own they are really good but a lot of the same tracks get worse when you hear them in the context of the album. I think the reason for that is because, regarding blink-182, I have a certain limit of songs I can hear consecutively without getting annoyed, and that limit is reached when I listen to a whole album from them, mainly due to the vocals (no front but I much prefer Mark Hoppus as a vocalist than Tom ... read more

Bruce Springsteen - Born in the U.S.A.
85

The two words I would use to describe Springsteens music are passionate and nostalgic and thats why I love it so much

Massive Attack - Mezzanine
100

Fuck it this a 10 there literally isn‘t anything wrong with this album man
It just sounds so dark and crisp and the production is next level
This is trip hop perfection

Backxwash - Only Dust Remains
85

Didnt expect anything going into this album but I‘m genuinely taken aback by how hard ts goes while simultaneously sounding so beautiful
Definitely an AOTY contender

Lucio Corsi - Volevo essere un duro
75

Volevo essere un duro is my personal Eurovision winner and I desperately want it to do well in the contest (top 10 PLEASE) even though I know that it‘s unfortunately pretty unlikely
So I was really intrigued to check some of Corsis other stuff out and what better way to start than with his most recent one that also includes the earlier mentioned song? And yeah it‘s unsurprisingly pretty stellar, I love the glam- and folk rock influences from the likes of Bowie and Dylan to name a ... read more

파란노을 [Parannoul] - To See the Next Part of the Dream
70

Great instrumentation but its pretty inconsistent in terms of songwriting and vocals imo

Little Simz - Sometimes I Might Be Introvert
90

It just doesn't get boring in the slightest

Nujabes - Modal Soul
90

As great as the first part is, this album truly shines in the second only-instrumental lo-fi part which is effortlessly showcasing Nujabes' genius in producing

Mos Def - Black on Both Sides
90

Next level story telling and its just so fun to listen to him cuz of both the lyrics and his flow

Mac Miller - K.I.D.S. (Kickin' Incredibly Dope Shit)
85

You can definitely tell that Mac was only 18 here and I mean that in the best way possible
Its obvious that he had so much fun making this, its so laid back and youthful, it kinda has a naive feeling to it and all of that is especially noticable in the production and the samples he used
Its of course not his most ambitious project but most certainly one of his most fun ones

JAY-Z - Reasonable Doubt
85

The run from Can't Knock the Hustle to D'Evils is insane

Fleetwood Mac - Rumours
100

The consequences of excessive cocaine consumption, several romantic intrigues and everyone in the band hating each others guts
A timeless classic for a reason

Playboi Carti - MUSIC - SORRY 4 DA WAIT
NR

2024 on streaming I used to pray for time like these thanks Carti I forgive you 4 da wait 🙏

Edit: Omg its called 4 da wait because there are 4 extra songs added Carti is a genius 🤯🥶

Sufjan Stevens - Illinois
95

Album so bad it stopped Sufjan from continuing the 50 states album project after only 2 albums 💔

Big Thief - Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe In You
90

It‘s actually so impressive how they managed to make this album feel only half as long as its initial 80 minute runtime
