Swift shows the world that she’s more out of touch with reality than ever on this new project. For crying out loud you are pushing 40 please stop trying to sound relatable to the youth by talking about high school. Made me wish I was listening to the new Sabrina Carpenter album, and that’s saying a LOT.
He’s a very good storyteller which is evident many times throughout this project. However, with production as bland as this and with this many lackluster filler songs, the album can only go so far.
This is the first ever metal album i’ve listened to, and I kinda feel like I can’t yet properly critique albums in this genre.
That being said, here are my thoughts on this album:
Holy shit
On this mixtape of his, Malcolm Todd does his absolute best to not stand out in any way at all. Sure, the production quality is there and he has a cozy sound, but getting through this mixtape from front to back is quite the slog. A lot of the songs sound decent on their own, but as a tracklist they blend together and form an experience that's unfortunately forgotten pretty much instantly.
