i was surprisingly disappointed with how the album played out. having already fell in love with LPFJ2 and Jukebox Joints, i was expecting the rest of the album to have a similar sound. i was very wrong. so many tracks are super slow and while it could be a nice atmospheric listen, i just wasn't here for it. i loved the high energy songs (like LPFJ2). Schoolboy Q and Lil Wayne had some of the most memorable moments on the album. overall i didn't like the whole album but maybe i was ... read more
i can definitely see the appeal to this album. standouts are 2010 justin bieber and fenty face, but also really liked tout naturel, ignorant, and one of us is lying. liked the cohesiveness and these songs mesh together really well - this genre is fire
genuinely a good album. had no idea a rage album could sound something like this. its definitely a lot more digestible than most rage deep cuts. this is pop rage? the transitions worked really well and i loved that this felt like one huge song. was not expecting this at all but i really enjoyed most songs on here. lebron was mentioned too so this might be a 100. thanks @matt
some of the songs of all time. this is probably the slowest-paced album ive ever heard. nothing on here did anything for me. the songs are structured well with transitions and instrumentals, but i genuinely just don't understand the album. glad others enjoy it but im ok on this one
safe to say i wont be returning to this album. i did come in with decent expectations - i liked the cover a lot, and the tracklist looked fun. and a good time of under 40 minutes. however this felt like a 2 hour project. can't explain it but none of the ideas on here resonated with me. the vocals are washed out and the instrumentals are all over the place. disappointed to say the least and hesitant to check out other projects from Dijon
objectively good music, but not my cup of tea. the album starts out strong, and the first 5 tracks are actually great. however, it falls off after this and reallyyyyyyy slows down. the tempo drops significantly and i started tuning out. production and vocals are top notch tho (and parachute is fantastic)
wtf is skrillex doing on here LMAOOO
album is pretty good in the first half, but it definitely falls off later. not as much of a consistent sound as i thought it would have for the amount of praise the record gets. shave a few tracks and this could be a classic. still some of ASAP's best work on here tho, PMW, LVL, fkin problems, fashion killa are all classics.
a great album. underscores fits this album so well and he is lowkey putting me on. i never thought the guy who was on STH could make a project like this but i was very wrong. i did not like The End - i think it ran too long / had too many ideas. starburst, copycats, flowers, lift you up, all cinema
definitely overhyped. the best songs on here are Rah Tah Tah and Thought I Was Dead. Tyler excels on these higher energy songs. Should’ve kept the Carti verse. This album is NOT a “must listen”
this album didn't really do anything for me. i can recognize that it's good music, but it's not hitting. maybe my ears aren't trained for it yet. no real high notes on the album, it lulls somewhat
"IT DOESN'T GET BLACKER THAN THIS BABY"
this is not a bad album. i do think it lacks consistency. too many tracks spamming the "aye" ad-lib. stick was the best song on here, the rest of the album did not live up to that first track.
it aint bad but its nothing crazy. shoutout to the nba 2k sample and the BRAZILLLL sample
off first listen, its genuinely a good album. as always she is great lyrically and the instruments on here are beautiful. song with sampha is the best.
