Quadeca - I Didn't Mean to Haunt You

Imagine dying and then casually dropping one of the best albums of the year. Absolute legend. But seriously, the biggest question set in this project was if he died, would he leave anything meaningful after himself, and I think that this project itself might just be the answer to his question. "I Didn't Mean To Haunt You" is an album that not only explores a theme that is very thought-provoking, but also blends Quadeca's melodic and soothing vocals with a cascade of ... read more

yeule - Serotonin II

When I first played this album, I actually did not know what I should expect of it – first time listening to yeule and the album I wanted to start with is flooded with positive opinions, therefore more stress about actually grasping the whole concept of this project. In the end, I feel like I definitely understood the ideas hidden throughout the album. As expected from a deathcore project, the entirety of the album is just noise, but the thing is that in a perfect ... read more

Weyes Blood - Titanic Rising

This clearly is one of the albums to which you have to listen more than once to truly appreciate the piece of artistry that stands behind the project, but nevertheless, even after one listen, you can immediately sense that this album is extraordinary in a sense. It blends absolutely god-like instrumentals with soothing and warm vocals and lyricism

As mentioned above, I find the instrumental outstanding. I don't think I've listened to many albums that have similarly refined and ... read more
