I've been abso-fucking-lutely obsessed with this project for the past week. Lil Ugly Mane (aka Travis Miller) is an artist I haven't listened to much of in the past. I've heard a few songs from his two previous LPs and also listened to "Uneven Compromise" and enjoyed what I had heard, but I didn't absolutely obsess over them like I did with this project.
I'm not sure what drew me into this album as much as much as it did. It could be the atmosphere it created; it could be the ... read more
"Real spooky like a real trife movie!"
Welcome to side-chain heaven. Pretty nice and short EP. This is some real spooky shit. Gao flows pretty nicely throughout this short EP. I might be wrong, but Gao comes off to me as a ghost of some sort on this EP. He seems supernatural, not human. The production is pretty cool as well. I'm a sucker for side-chaining in songs, so I was satisfied. This was my first introduction to Gao The Arsonist, so hopefully his other stuff will satisfy me as ... read more
David Bowie would've played a good G-Man in a live action "Half-Life" film.
Definitely an album that's a contender for my "favorite album of all time."
For how robotic and cold the world "Kid A" paints for us is, I've never felt more connected to an album as much as I have this one. Everything just hits me so hard when it comes to this project; From Thom's robotic singing at times, to the synth-based sound of this album, to soul-crushing tracks such as "How to Disappear Completely" and "Motion Picture Soundtrack." The album ... read more
This version flows so much better than the original in my opinion. I like this version a lot more. King Krule's vocal performance live is incredible, Jesus Christ...
Absolutely fucking batshit insane. It's short, heavy, and feels like you're being murdered. I loved how throughout the EP, you're taken out of this insane soundscape for just a few seconds. Everything all of a sudden becomes ethereal, almost peaceful yet, at the same time, unsettling because you're constantly awaiting to be dropped back into the hellish soundscape. Then it just comes out of fucking no where at full blast and you're just hit with a wall of distortion, noise, and anger. This was ... read more
God motherfucking damn, not much to say this shit was just hard as fuck. The 808 is absolutely pounding through your headphones/speakers and Megan is absolutely ferocious on this track. Good bars, good flow, absolutely hard shit.
At first, I was laughing my ass off because every song made me think of Left 4 Dead 2 zombies screaming, but after a bit I started to like the contrast of somber and absolutely fucking insane. I'm really happy I listened to this thing, it took a bit to get used to but I really enjoy it now. Especially towards the end of the album, the screamo isn't as present and it's more just instrumental Midwest Emo.
Yeah, this EP is also pretty depressing. It's such a interesting contrast of depressing ... read more
Whenever I see somebody else with this project's cover as their profile picture on the internet, I feel like we have an immediate connection.
It's absolutely soul crushing. There's a very small amount of artists out there that have given me the feeling of having an actual conversation with them through lyrics. This entire song feels like a 10 minute session of Earl talking directly to you, saying "my life is fucked up beyond belief, here's everything that's been going on."

*Ben Shapiro softly caresses Tom MacDonald's hair*
"Benny, do facts care about my feelings?" Tom MacDonald asks.
"Oh Tommy... All that matters is that I care about your feelings," Ben Shapiro assures Tom.
*Tom MacDonald gets up from the bed and leans his body against the wooden walls of Ben Shapiro's house*
"Benny Boo... I'm so stressed out. The world just hates straight, white men! Why is the world so oppressive..?" Tom asked, defeated by the world around ... read more
If you aren't hard after listening to this album, you might have erectile dysfunction...
But in all seriousness, look at what we have on our hands. The Smile needs no fucking introduction at all. "Wall of Eyes" is The Smile's second major release and it's been pretty hyped up for a while.
As a whole, this project creates a really calming and psychedelic soundscape along with a lot of interesting textures throughout the track list. At the same time, I love how this project just goes ... read more

There are some really high peaks on this album in terms of creativity and vocal range that I really enjoy. I think the creativity of the album started struggling a bit towards the later-half of the album, but it was still enjoyable nonetheless
Starting off with an absolute banger, "¿Cómo Así?" has a bit darker of a soundscape compared to the rest of the album, but it introduces the album to the listener well. It definitely captured my attention ... read more
It smells like gas, I think somebody pooped!
Good all around production, solid features, and of course 21 delivers... I mean c'mon, it's 21
Two tracks that really stood out to me were "redrum" and "dark days." The production on "redrum" has this beautiful fucking sample playing in the beginning. Then it switches into this dark, car-rumbling beat and 21 comes into the track HUNGRY. And even though the hook is basically just 21 saying "redrum" over and ... read more

Really pretty album though, great ambience. I was expecting the songs to be more like the ππ°π°π¬ ππ’ ππ° ππ’π―π₯π΄ EP, but it turned out to be quite different and I'm completely fine with that. It's a very long album but I'm fine with that, it's left me super relaxed and chilled out.
There are some really interesting ideas on this project such ... read more
