certainly one of the most versatile soundtracks I've ever experienced
the amounts of 10s and 9s in this and the other album compared to the amount of 5s and 4s is weird, there are some very insane performances on both projects but right between them some weirdly boring beats and even more boring performance. overall I'm glad we have those projects.
whatever was the introduction to this album, you start from the intro and you will absolutely have to finish it. until the end of Mortal Man
I'm not even hating it's just so average. it feels like the music club in high-school wrote it
Peggy never fail to amaze me with his sampling talents. Listening to this is like finding out your girl cheated on you 14 times in less than an hour and each time it was with each one of your friends but the last one was with The Weeknd
The concept of the album was greatly executed, too good that people didn't even realize the entire point of the album. this album works insanely great as a movie. The story being told from beginning to end was amazing from the "Renaissance" of slim shady to his death to his realization of what he would've missed if he killed slim shady (him). his insane wordplays across the album are diabolical from "P, did he" where he takes the p from rapper and puts it in his ... read more
this album stands to be the single best Trap / EDM LP I came upon. The HARD... HARD intro in Tears and the extatic melodies on RATATA and the insane drop and switches in Supersonic (my existence). And the best way to remix an arabic song in XENA and the added palestinian representation on it. While this lp stands strong on their highs it lacks on the low tempered side of it keeping you expecting more but it totally stands strongly on the highgrounds of dubstep
I'm here to balance the opinions, mfs can't rate the music itself. This album is imperial some of the sickest productions and the album of the decade too far
This LP stands over the biggest R&B/Alt records I've experienced. Sticking hard to the narrative, impressive feature performances, intricate production elements and vocal performances, and hipnotic ambient building.
I find it really hard for metro to disappoint in his production and choice of features. Can't even start talking about Don Toliver, Lil Uzi Vert or James Blake's performances. Truly such a theatrically cohesive experience
While I can't say much on the lyrics I can say the production is high quality, sometimes could be generic but the highs are phenomenal
If we talking quality this album feels like a museum piece. Such soul filling production that blends well with the cover art vibe in it's warm vibrant tone. Features couldn't be better with kanye and Daniel Caesar being my highlights.
Amaarae is an amazing producer with impressive vocal performance but annoying lyrics and somewhat annoying voice. The production and consistency on her project is rather phenomenal but I'd still be annoyed by her talking about astrology.
This album could be cut into two parts where one half would be rated 80 and the other half would be 30. Teezo touchdown straight up giving mind blowing performances and incredible production from Southside, BNYX, boy-1da and Lil Yachty sometimes stealing the spotlight on tracks like Daylight and What Would Pluto Do and much others. However being so bloated I wouldn't be able to rate the entire body of work based on the highlights.
