Chief Keef - 4NEM

Unfortunate line on "Hadouken"

Lil Uzi Vert - Pink Tape

This was still peak Uzi, y'all just weren't ready to hear it

Childish Gambino - Because the Internet
94

It's crazy how much I DO NOT understand this album compared to how much I love it. This came with a whole short film and screenplay which I have tried to read before finding out I'm not really into screenplays.

Anyway, this album is INCREDIBLE. Both sonically, with songs like "3005" and "Shadows" having some of the cleanest production, to lyrically with deep songs (specially "Flight Of The Navigator"). The story of this album is complicated, weird and ... read more

Kanye West - JESUS IS KING
58

The problem of this album is NOT that It's christian, if it was I wouldn't love "Jesus Walks" that much. The problem is that the "love and praise" to God/Jesus he claims to have on this album doesn't sound really authentic. It feels like Ye just wanted to put out a gospel album for the heck of it, without putting his all in it. Of course, this album has some highlights, "Follow God" shows him rapping over a great sample beat with a really nice flow, ... read more

Tyler, The Creator - Flower Boy
97

This album has done a lot for me, helping me figure out who I am. In a certain way, I can relate heavily with Tyler, starting as an edgy shock-value guy and then maturing. But I'm not rating Tyler as a person, I'm rating his best album to this day (yes, even over Igor) "Flower Boy".

This album is smooth, pleasant and, of course, gay. VERY gay. It is filled with masterfully produced pop-rap songs which Tyler manages to deliver catchy and insightful lyrics, like on ... read more

Freddie Gibbs & Madlib - Piñata
96

WOWWWWW what an album. Madlib establishes himself as the GOAT producer alongside Freddie's grimy and ruthless lyrics and deliveries. Every song on this album paints an amazing picture of Freddie's life, like on "Harold's", or "Knicks". One of my favorite parts of this album are the features, with an all-star list of talent from old-schools like Raekwon and Scarface to modern rappers like Earl Sweatshirt and Danny Brown, even including an 8 minute possee cut ... read more

Westside Gunn - Still Praying [w/o DJ Drama]

-10 because of removing DJ Drama. Y'all really hate having fun 🙄

Westside Gunn - Still Praying
60

The problem of this album is not DJ Drama, is not the trap beats, and it is not that it doesn't have enough features; the problem of this album is that Westside Gunn just doesn't really sound like he's giving it his all. Even on the mixed bag that was "And Then You Pray For Me", that album still had amazing highs like "Kitchen Lights", "Kostas" and "Mamas Primetime" which this album just doesn't have, the closest we get to something ... read more

Westside Gunn - 12
79

BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM
Anyway, pretty good album by Gunn. Really liked Stove God and Tom Sos on this one (on the other hand, Estee Nack, why the hell was he moaning like he's getting tortured?) The three run of 055, Health Science and Gumbo Yaya is GOATED. This is a step in the right direction after the "eh" that was Still Praying, Looking forward to Flygod Is An Awesome God 3

Frank Ocean - Blonde
98

FRANK OCEAN JUST DROP THE NEW ALBUM PLSSSSS 😭
This album is an R&B masterpiece. It's not just music, It's emotion, experiences and heartbreak packed into a 17-song project. Noted, some of the songs might drag, but when you're thinking about your past mistakes and failed relationships, they won't get you bored. Basically, this is the perfect album when you're depressed and instead of cheering up, want to stay sad. It's like reverse therapy, but with angelic ... read more

Kanye West - Donda 2

this shit finished would've gone HARD

Doechii - Anxiety
55

C'mon, this is a song from a young hungry Doechii using a pre-made beat. Yes, It doesn't sound that good, but can't be really harsh. Song is still pretty decent for what it is

Playboi Carti - MUSIC
72

Grew on me, It's just way too long. There's not even that much bloat, but It's 30 songs which even having 30 perfect songs It's still going to go bland. I was expecting more, but now I'm pretty content with the results. Fuck the AI tho.

Madvillain - Madvillainy
99

This is my favorite album of all time. Don't even think I need to explain myself, we all know. Not a 100 because Rainbows exists (not bad, just underwhelming in context).

The Weeknd - Hurry Up Tomorrow
80

Long, bloated, uninovative and still amazing. These songs showcase all of The Weeknd's fortés, storytelling, production and, of course, his angelic vocals. Most of this album is very nicely put together, and the transitions between songs are great. There are a couple songs here and there which do nothing for me, sure, and it is the weekest of the new trilogy, but it's still a very worthy goodbye for the "The Weeknd" chapter.

Fuck Carti's AI ass verse though, AI ... read more

Mac Miller - Balloonerism
86

I have always been a huge Mac Miller fan and this album is proof of it. This is really not a posthumous album, as it's completely finished. The songs show pain and struggle with mental health while still showing signs of optimism and not giving up. Perfect example for this is "Funny Papers", the best song on the project, which showcases both the death and the birth of a close person. I'll give it to you though, the Delusional Thomas song was pretty bad. But the rest of this ... read more

JPEGMAFIA - LP! (Offline Version)
95

I didn't really fuck with JPEGMAFIA until I actually listened to him. This album, overall, is a masterpiece. Even the instrumentals are fire as fuck. This album either has iconic songs, or underrated songs, not a single "ehh" moment on here. Only reason it doesn't get a 100 is because some of the songs feel like they don't belong, and maybe the sequencing could've been a bit better, but nitpicks aside this album is as close to a perfect industrial hip-hop album as ... read more

Earl Sweatshirt - Some Rap Songs
87

This is the rap album that grew on me the most of all time. I hated this when I first heard it, was pissed off every song was so short and were so weird and only really like OnTheWay. After going through some shit, this HITS DIFFERENT, songs like Shattered Dreams, The Mint and Azucar are pieces of art, and now I see the briefness of this album as a strength and not a weakness. Still don't like peanut tho.

PARTYNEXTDOOR - $ome $exy $ongs 4 U
25

I like to give every album a fair chance from start to finish. Gave up after "Meet your padre".

Edit: listened to the whole album. Nokia is pretty good, i like die trying, gimmie a hug is decent, literally NOTHING else.
