Pippin is my favorite musical of all time, but its soundtrack is actually one of its weaker points. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still good, but nothing all that special. Check out the musical if you can though!

Aimee Mann said in an interview about this album that when a friend asked her how her latest album was going, she said it was just a bunch of songs about mental illnesses. The friend suggested, jokingly, that Aimee name the album “mental illness.” So here we are. Glad we got a pretty gorgeous album out of it.
