My favorite shoegaze album of all time. Its intensity is matched with perfect pop songwriting.
Listening to Pitchfork’s top 30 Dreampop albums, 30th place:
This album does a lot in terms of texture, I love the synth work, I love the guitars on some tracks like Mundane Phone Call, which is probably my favorite track on the album, but I don’t see myself coming back to any of the other tracks if I don’t sit down to listen to the whole thing.
Some dreams are very pleasant but have a threatening aura, this is the kind of dreampop this album is.
Iceblink Luck sounds like an Abba song if Abba were active in the 90s, I love that it exists.
