Johannes Persson's esoteric lyrics and Perturbator's incredible sound design are an unexpected combination I didn't know I needed.
I initially had a hard time with the vocals, but they eventually grew on me and I've come to appreciate them.
What somewhat ruins this album for me is the length of the tracks and how similar they all sound.

Overall, Leather Terror is a fine follow up to Leather Teeth, even though Leather Teeth is much more consistent in its quality.
The first 2 thirds of this album are a love letter to metal and dark synthwave. The last leg of the album however feels somewhat phoned in, especially in tracks like Paradisi Gloria and Stabat Mater.
