Never really reaches the highs of the first track again. I feel like Khel's music sorely needs more earworms like "now or never". Still, a VERY solid project from Khel. If anything, they are consistent.
Thanks for the recommendation, @flaire!
As for the album itself, I REALLY. REALLY tried to look past the mastering and mixing on this album to see what was so special about this, but the high end on this is so overdriven that not even a strong de-esser could fix it. It has this incredibly grating hiss sound throughout the entire album that is truly difficult to come to terms with. I feel like, if this wasn't the case, I would enjoy this a lot more, since the vocal delivery and actual beat ... read more
A really solid trap album to start 2026. In a time where every mainstream rapper is shooting themselves in the foot, Toliver works to be totally consistent with his quality, much to the benefit of this album.
"Hey OmniRaindrop what do you think of the new converge album" as if it hasn't been the same answer for every album

A very front loaded album that tapers off near the end, but holy shit, are those first 6 or so songs bangers.
Pretty solid production but the mixing could use some more work. Needs more to separate itself from similar sounding artists. It still plays things very safe.
Stole every single RIB prod just to sound like a Hick Che #embarrassing
Pretty disappointing after 2 strong singles to start the rollout. Still, I can't hate on it too much. There are hits on here that I seriously enjoy.
Ezcodylee. Man. Keep doing what you're doing, because it feels extremely fresh in the current rage environment. I absolutely love the sound on this. But it is a LITTLE too overbloated.
Singles are miles better than any of the album originals, and that's just sad. This rating is more just a conglomerate of my high ratings for the singles and mid ratings for the rest.
Lush production, but I CANNOT get over the vocal delivery on these tracks.. Its a personal thing that lets the overall album down.
Its fine. Archspire is all tech without any of what actually makes tech death heavy. But it's still impressive enough to turn heads, I suppose.
I enjoyed this, despite the sound not being something I'm traditionally too into. I was really hoping this mixtape was a rage tape after the first single dropped, but this was also a pleasant surprise. Only reason it isn't higher is because Vylet Pony can't help but do them corny white speed raps sometimes.
As time passes and Che has taken his sound to another level, I come back to this album with a greater appreciation for this sound.
Che has never been one to "invent" the wheel, even with his later work, but he makes up for it by creating exceptional takes on the sound with a good amount of creative liberty. He manages to sound ahead of his time by a few months before the rest of the ug actually picks up on the sound. Sayso Says is an example of this, and a very good one at that. ... read more
It's just so rich. This makes Half-Blood seem like outtakes, really. Which says a lot, since Half-Blood by itself was already one of my favorite albums of last year. This just takes to another level with this out-of-this-world EDM production. I mean it when I say that this did an even better job mixing Rage and EDM together than Jane Remover did, which is a massive accomplishment for an UG artist. This has blown my expectations away, and I am left speechless.
