Sounds a lot more like what I expected from Geordie Greep, which is a recipe for perfection.
Gosh, I love the drums on this. They pop in a way that is just so smooth in my ears. Everything else is great too, but the drumming caught my eye and kept me into the song just that little bit more.
Wow. This is just such a transcendant album. Everything works so well together. I love the drumming, especially. So crisp!
This is NOT. FAIR. Stop tugging on my heartstrings Parannoul, I'm going to fall apart.
Every album, Peggy somehow finds a way to be the most experimental sounding while ALSO boring me half to death.
Please, Peggy. give me Veteran again. You peaked in 2018.
This album has SO much potential, but Eminem seems more worried about offending Twitter "woke liberals" than actually improving his writing.
I'm being serious when I say that if you got rid of every transgender joke, fat joke, and midget joke, you would be left with maybe 15% of the album.
Which is funny, because that 15% is by FAR the better parts of this album, which says a lot since the peaks of this album are still just okay at best.

This is just, plain and simple, way too fucking long. This should NOT be longer than an hour, and because of it, every track drags for 2 or 3 minutes longer than it should. It's straight up a snoozefest, mainly because it sounds like Chief Keef wants to make good music. Almighty So was good BECAUSE it sounded like shit, but this is shit because it's trying too hard to sound good.
I expected this to be great, and it didn't disappoint. Still, I feel as if the mixing could have made certain points clearer instead of sounding like a wall of noise, which was a problem I had with the 2 previously released tracks. Other than that, it stands out as a great Symphonic Blackened Deathcore album, especially in a specific subgenre with a lot of generic albums.
I NEED this on streaming services. I absolutely adore this EP, and the vocal covers of the songs do them no justice.
Pleasantly surprised. I'm not the biggest fan of particularly anything with this song, but it is a good, inoffensive OP-esque song that manages to entertain for at least one listen. Certainly, the best thing I've heard from Mori Calliope.
This is mixed weirdly. I don't like how Alex's vocals sound on this. I really don't have anything else to say about this because of how generic this song is. It's just the STP formula, but somehow slightly worse than usual?
SHUT THE FUCK UP KNOCKED LOOSE IS BACK!!!!!!!!
2024 is shaping up to be such a hype year for metal. fallingwithscissors was the appetizer, and Knocked Loose is gonna be the Michelin star main course!
Darko manages to get back on track with a very interesting deathcore sound that has been sorely lacking from the scene since their last LP came out, but even then, it manages to be diverse in its sound compared to songs before it. Tom Barber is still one of my favorite deathcore vocalists, and the instrumental on Darko tracks never seems to miss. Even the clean section sounds decent, which can't be said for many other deathcore bands who go down that route (Except for Whitechapel).

This sounds TERRIBLE. Who told Will Ramos that his screaming style had any place in this type of music??? Not only that, but the mixing, along with the monotone cleans layered with the screaming, makes this an ear bleeder to get through.
Despite being a plethora of cut and unused content and the genres bouncing back and forth between songs, it still manages to deliver as a consistent enjoyment that tops everything other than IDMTHY. While I think some songs struggle with a longer runtime and taking a while to get good, I am pleased to say that the good parts of this album WELL outmatch the bad. It's to a point where it is surprising this was unused in the first place.
TLDR: it went hard.

Zelli carries this song so hard. Taylor Barber is a great vocalist, but the animal/goblin noises HAVE to go. It's the worst thing in deathcore right now, sounds goofy as fuck, and adds nothing to the music. The instrumental is mediocre and generic, and this whole thing screams no innovation, which happens to be the lull that Deathcore is in right now.
Who would've known that Converge but with breakcore elements would make it immediately much better to my ears? I certainly didn't until I listened to this EP. It sounds absolutely amazing.
The mix is terrible, the structure is generic, and it feels like a total downgrade in every aspect from the last few songs. The thing that BOI WHAT had was the corny, but slightly comedic plankton AI voice effect and the SpongeBob-centered lyrics, but this strips away that, instead replacing it with very stale and unimaginative lyrics.
I'll make a review for this eventually because what I have to say about this album is much deeper than I can give context to with the few minutes I spend on each review. Just know that this album is beautifully sorrow, and it is such a transcendent experience to listen to.
Was pleasantly surprised by this. Went in expecting it to be terrible, considering my previous interactions with Horrorcore, but I actually enjoyed this a good amount. It's a fun, brainless listen that bludgeons you with loud, distorted beats and a flat vocal delivery that bounces well off the beat.
