Fuck this, fuck what it means for extreme metal. This is what happens when you take this trend of shock vocals and goblin noises and you rip away any sense of musicality from it. It isn't even funny, like IA used to be, and both the mix and instrumentals are nothing to write home about. It's music at least, and that gives it a 40. It still has some parts that aren't ruined by the crazy vocals that just take these tracks on a joyride.

The mixing is a liiiiiitle rough.
Other than that, I fucking love this song. Maybe not as good as The Poetic Edda, but it rocks. I have no clue who the vocalist is, but he is a beast. I've been getting tired of the focus on "alien-like" sounds in Deathcore, so this was a breath of fresh air.
Not sleeping on the instrumentals either. Give me some violin or piano in my deathcore and I keel over in happiness. Anything to add some lighter notes to a messy, loud mix.
Fun-loving, jumpy, bouncy, and joyous. All I need from an atmospheric 2000's aesthetic digital horror series.
Generic Metalcore. I like the vocals on this LP, but the instrumentals give this annoying, generic Octanecore sound that just riddles my mind with numbness. The melody is alright. and at least the dual vocalists can save this album from being a total disappointment. Kept my interest, but wouldn't listen to it again except for maybe a specific one or two songs.
Don't listen to a lot of R&B, but I listened to this a LOT as a teenager, so I vibe with it immensely.
This album got me into metal.
No, seriously.
I have a lot to thank this album for, and one of those is how GOOD it sounds. I come back to this album every once in a while and I'm never left unimpressed, that's for damn sure.
It has merits. Cheyne Stokes still sits as one of my favorite Chelsea Grin songs, but god do the vocals suck on this EP. Cupping the microphone at its worse to keep up with the frankly great sounding instrumentals.
I love Crown The Empire, but I cannot excuse how boring and poorly mixed this sounds.
My favorite Chelsea Grin LP. Tom Barber is one of my favorite vocalists in the game, and he sounds SO good in this.
This was my first experience with Knocked Loose, and it surely didn't disappoint. I have loved this type of music recently, and Knocked Loose is a part of why.
It was about time for me to make a review for this masterpiece of an album. I recently filled out my favorite albums and wasn't surprised when I couldn't find anything on my list to go over this. It truly reigns supreme over anything else I've listened to.

When it comes to my usual Deathcore taste, I mainly listen to a good amount of Blackened Deathcore and Progressive Deathcore, so when I got the opportunity to listen to a ... read more
Putting nostalgia aside, it's just Electric Callboy doing Electric Callboy things, which I absolutely adore.
(Original): AOTY contender, for damn sure!
This is exactly what I expected from this album and more! And as much as I like to highball my ratings, this deserves a high rating guaranteed! Hell, I'm convinced that anyone who didn't connect with this album never even listened to the past Sleep Token albums, because it's more of the same, but better! Such a unique sound that I have not heard commonly, so this album was such a breath of fresh air after a somewhat disappointing couple ... read more
BANGER! AFTER BANGER! This band keeps on giving, and I keep on listening.
Lorna Shore-core at its most generic. Good thing Lorna Shore sets such a good standard for this subgenre of deathcore.
Deathcore at its brutal finest. It might not have a lot of polish, but its pure brutality is worthy of a rating in the 80's.
(EDIT: 89 - 68 | Going back and relistening to albums. The songs don't have much relistening value and get forgettable quick.)
Disappointing is a good way to put this album. It's very obvious by the fact that only two songs that are original to the LP is actually worth listening to past one time, with that being "Superstar" and "Labyrinth". The rest of the original songs are the same radio-friendly music that made people dislike sudden sky, even if I am somewhat impartial to it. The only saving grace is the singles, which shine in this album. "In Another Life", "Black Sheep", and ... read more
Metal is unstoppable so far in the 2020's, and it's not slowing down anytime soon. I can't see what this band does after this since it finally seems like they have solidified their sound.
