With a few decent tracks and moments, this is definitely a fine listen. But as a Deftones album, it falls very generic and feels more like a 'sounds like' Deftones track list more than an album made by the band themselves.

Black Metal isn't my shtick, but I'm listening to shut Rhys up. Though i do believe i prefer this over than most Black Metal as it leans more into the Thrash side (being that this is early Black Metal which is heavily influenced by Thrash) and i prefer Thrash of the two genres. A good start to the TOOL discog but overall filled with songs i barely think about or find myself listening to. It's very cool to hear how Maynard and Adam have developed over the years, aswell as the original Bassist's, Paul D'Amour, sound and how its different to Justin's. But uh...Danny's just always been like that, huh?

This whole album is just incredibly boring with it feeling as if its only purpose is to prove Emily can sing and scream like Chester. Spoiler alert, she has a terrible singing voice with very little range and some of the worst harsh vocals and screams to come from a metal album. This album is one of the only modern rap albums I've ever 'stank faced' to. It is a fucking grimy album that only makes me want to beat up 25 podophiles until they're dead or I'm pulled away from them.
