Distorted Sound

For now, we can savour the dense palette that Sundowning provides, and wallow in the sheer beauty with which it associates. Heavy music is being redefined right before our eyes, and as fans of alternative music it doesn’t get much better than that. Worship.

The band have shown they can create vast episodes that exist primarily within their ancient universe, while also feeling very vulnerable and human at their core. That alone should be reason enough to hope that Sleep Token’s secretive allure stays intact for a long time to come.

The first 3 songs of this album are one of the best opening 3 songs on any Metal album PERIOD. Absolutely blew my mind, I was completely speechless and absolutely amazed. Not only because the songs were incredible in every way shape or form, but also because it was exactly my cup of tea.

This is a review of Sundowner, but let me yap for a second about the band.

So recently I started curating my Metalcore playlist when I stumbled upon Sleep Token's Take Me Back to Eden. Then I remember the contradictory discussions surrounding the album, so I revisited it.
