Kill Bill: The Rapper - I THINK I FOUND THE END

Production is insane, but the lyrics drag it down.

Taylor Swift - I Knew It, I Knew You (Piano Version)

Can't wait for the version where all of the instruments are fucking gone and it's just me screaming into the void πŸ—£οΈβ€οΈ

By Storm - My Ghosts Go Ghost
92

I always glaze abstract hip hop, but this one unironically feels like I am melting into the canvas.

FIFA Sound - Official FIFA World Cup 2026™ Album

As much as I hate billon dollar sport industries, at least the NFL has agreed to uphold a level of standard and quality with the distribution of their products and the athletes.

FIFA feels like it is owned by a bunch of 1960s mafia kingpins trying to squeeze as much money as possible out of you while cutting corners at every angle πŸ’€

Black Country, New Road - Ants From Up There

SLIFT - Fantasia

These guys prove that playing sloppy is an art, this is such a powerful performance from SLIFT that it reminds me of the days jamming it out with my friends in the back of a liquor store.

Vince Staples - Cry Baby

Thank you Staples for erasing Melanie Martinez off the face of the earth πŸ™πŸ”₯πŸ˜€πŸ™πŸ˜€πŸ”₯πŸ™πŸ™πŸ˜€πŸ”₯πŸ”₯

underscores - U

This is how I see pop music would sound if it wasn't written by board room members.

It honestly is extremely refreshing.

Evanescence - Sanctuary
72

If this came out 10 years ago, I might have given it a higher score, but due to how refined and polished metal has become in the past decade, this honestly just doesn't push hard enough to intrigue me anymore.

I've said this before on older Evanesence, I think Amy Lee will shine better in more contemporary environments, because the slower songs in this album really do shine because her vocal performance is perfect in those scenarios.

Sayako - With Undying Love, And Chocolates

bro why is this artist's entire discography just pics of eroge????

Paul McCartney - The Boys of Dungeon Lane

Not surprised that the critics he has on payroll are glazing this project.

Users is a bit of a mixed bag because Beetles fans are like an old god hive mind when it comes to anything they touch.

On Kill Bill: The Rapper - I THINK I FOUND THE END
"@JohnCena1337 geek/weeb culture to me is just commodity fetishism, which bores me. This is the part of me being critical specifically to Kill Bill. The main issue I have with the community (outside of the art, and not towards Kill Bill), is promoting misogyny, queerphobia, racism, and normalizing pdf. Of course the medium doesn't need to be that way, and not everyone promotes it, but it defiantly is a big elephant in the room that is rarely addressed and is usually slapped on the label of "tourist" to anyone who does."
On Kill Bill: The Rapper - I THINK I FOUND THE END
"@JohnCena1337 this isn't very "abstract" in comparison to billy woods, death grips, Danny Brown, Bruiser Wolf, Messiah Musk, ect... just to name a few. Where a lot of the lyrics have overlapping meanings that can be interpreted in multiple ways. Which is fine, it doesn't need to be in that level. My problem is more of the "nerd rap" lines that are super cringe that refer back to anime/geek culture. This shit has been done countless of times throughout the late 2010s especially with Logic popularizing it, and I have heard some horrific lines from albums like: HentaiGod that still give me PTSD at night πŸ˜”. This isn't the worst of it, thank god, but I just don't think there is much creativity left in such an oversaturated medium."

On Michael Jackson - Thriller
"@NastyJoseph MJ was an excellent performer and knew how to market himself very well. The problem is that we currently live in a world where we think these qualities are what defines: "success" or "talent". Or in other words, we cannot separate the production of art under capitalism and the system it is made for. Sure MJ is just as much of a cog in the machine, and I don't believe I specifically blamed him for the commodification of the music industry, but he definitely was: Pepsi's, Sony's, his father's, and Quincy Jones' show dog. Groomed from the very beginning to be as profitable as humanly possible."
On Michael Jackson - Thriller
"@jaylomamatic seeing how fast Michael spiraled in the last years of his life, I don't envy him at all ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ being surrounded by people who only care about your money is not as fun as it sounds"
On Michael Jackson - Thriller
"@NastyJoseph It had nothing to do with "meaning". I am aware that these artists, including MJ, placed their heart and soul in the production. But intention is irrelevant when talking about how this album became the gold standard in how the music industry packages, markets, platforms, and distributes music. From the very beginning, MJ was crafted and molded to be the person he became. "Agency" is put into question, especially from the influence of his father from a young age, and later Epic Records when he became an adult. And regardless of how much money he received in compensation, it pales in comparison to how much Epic has made in profits. So it also puts into question: "ownership"."
On Michael Jackson - Thriller
"@NastyJoseph Also, as for the rating, I do always try to be impartial and objective with my critique in music, but I also don't believe you can fully separate the artist with the art. Or more specifically, remove the context of how art is produced and who it is produced for. In the case of Thriller, I wanted to give it a 0 to not only raise eyebrows but also to express that I don't agree with this notion that "commercial success" = "good art". This album is the personification of the commodification of music, the concept of turning art into a product and the artists are just workers in the assembly line, with no agency nor true ownership of their work."
On Michael Jackson - Thriller
"@NastyJoseph >MJ as their profile pic >Proceeds to glaze him God I love it when I'm right 😩"
On Lila Cameron - give me some grace, i'm trying my best.
"@lila_ Unfortunately, believing things to be true/false without educating ourselves on why or educating others to be corrected is one of the most repeated mistakes in human history. We need to do better, especially in a world where even the idea of "revolution" can be turned into a commodity to be bought and sold."
On Laufey - A Matter of Time: The Final Hour
"@MophlesCozynigh PP hasn't touched the Billboard charts until she played the Stateside remix, and PP is relatively popular, at least in the UK. The cruel reality is that the music industry is built entirely on platforming, because if you control what people listen to, you control their enjoyment. You can't after all enjoy something you have never listened to, and people only have so much time in the day to listen to music. So it isn't a surprise that only 3 companies monopolize over 80% of the total profit revenue (which also overlap into movies and television). Even Liu's platforming was partially manufactured from the start, because I would be happy and smiling too if I didn't have to compete with the Russians πŸ’€."

On marvelgaryen's review of Taylor Swift - The Life of a Showgirl
"also, this is a bit of a philosophical question. Because I find this ironic that you would complain about people critiquing Taylor on a website literally dedicated to critiquing music. But isn't "art" supposed to be a relationship between the artist and audience? Conveying some kind of message to make your audience feel something impactful? Like, I can watch someone "enjoy themselves" by injecting Ketamine into their blood stream, and I probably wont know how to respond to that situation. But I sure as hell won't call that "art". Sorry that I can't give 2 shits about Taylor's enjoyment of being a billionaire, but I honestly can't relate and she failed in that aspect for me 🀷"
