ummm idk. it’s a beautiful album but i didn’t see the perspective everyone else did. there are some amazing lyrics in most of these songs though. it can get extremely repetitive with the artist singing the title a bunch in a each song. it is well written though and i did cry

Current Joys was one of the first artists I listen to when I was getting out of my lofi phase. I don’t regret listening to anything of Current Joys. People might hate it now because how much some songs have been used on tik tok but I don’t mind it. I’ve always loved listening to Televisions, New Flesh, Blondie, and You Broke My Heart. These are some pretty good songs if you’re into this kind of music. Is it a #1 album? No, but do I genuinely enjoy listening to this, yes.

I’ve known of surf curse for a while and this album has pretty good songs inside of it to jam to if you enjoy indie rock. The album in whole though isn’t the best in my own opinion. I believe it doesn’t earn more than a 30 since the beat of each song can be extremely repetitive :)
