I like a lot of the sounds on this album, it feels outdoorsy which is kinda unique to this kind of music (that I admittedly haven’t heard much of). I just really wish some of the songs went further than they did. When the album is at it’s busiest is when it sounds the best, but it spends more time than I’d like outside of that area. None of the material is really bad, it just doesn’t really hit me as much as I wish it did. That’s all.

I don’t really have much to say, the hooks and production across all the songs are just really solid. It starts out very good, but it sort of loses the things that make me more interested in the later half. This was a weird one to score for some reason but I enjoyed it quite a bit.
While the quality of the vocals may be quite lacking throughout the album, and can severely decrease the potential of a few of the songs, the production throughout most of the album does a lot of heavy lifting. Every song is produced incredibly well, no exceptions. The songs all feel quite different, which isn't something I really expected to hear on this album, but it makes it an fun experience to listen to front to back. There’s no songs that are really that bad, I just find that ... read more
Man, this was really disappointing. When I first heard Run It by itself I really thought that a full on clipping IDM styled album would end up working out really well. But there are so many songs on here that just do… nothing. There are so many interludes and songs that feel way too stripped back to really bring anything interesting to the table. If the whole album it would be a lot easier to say they just tried and failed, but Run It and the outro song are so good that it makes me ... read more
A pleasant surprise! I had first heard Sailor Song on my Spotify DJ randomly one day, thought it was pretty good and moved on. I never really considered doing the album, but I’m very glad I ended up rolling it early on my wheel. The only real complaint I have is that the existance of Sailor Song just kind of negates the existance of the next two songs because they just kinda feel like worse versions of the same song. Once you get past those though, the album goes on a crazy run of quality ... read more
Maybe the most carefree, luxurious, and fun album ever made. You can't listen to this without smiling.
Pleasantly surprised with this, I didn’t think it would be this interesting. It’s quite enjoyable, but a lack of highlights in the second half and some lackluster vocal performances hinder it a good bit.

I'm pretty surprised that Nujabes was able to start his career off this strong. You'd think that maybe the album would have a few duds, and while the album is a bit inconsistent, it's pretty strong throughout.

When this album isn’t trying to do too much it’s amazing, but occasionally it goes haywire and I really don’t think that suits billy woods well. Fortunately, there’s a lot more good than bad, though I wish the project as a whole was a bit more smooth.

A solid collection of songs. However, a lot of the songs stay the exact same for the entire duration, and while it’s usually quite good, it can wear itself down by the time the song is over almost every time. This leads to the album as a whole being a bit boring, but it’s not bad. When they actually attempt to make an actual song it ends up working very well, as the highlights are really damn high. But there just really aren’t many of them. Good album, could’ve been ... read more
Damn! Glad I remembered Vanessa Carlton’s existance and decided to do this on a whim. Cause it’s actually really good! The first half is absolutely loaded with great songs that honestly should’ve also gotten as big as A Thousand Miles. While the second half isn’t as good as the first half, it still holds it’s weight in quality. This album is loaded with great music. Might need to dive into more of her music.

Long overdue, one of my favorite albums of all time. Finally came around on the little things I didn’t like, and everything I already liked has gotten so, so much better. An album that truly deserves to live forever.

Never really been much of a Clairo fan in the past but she's somebody I've wanted to try listening to at some point. I didn't really expect this album to be much of my thing, but it really is. The production across the whole album is really, really good, and Clairo's vocals, despite sometimes being a bit buried, are also great throughout the entire project. A very unexpected album to reach my top of the year lists, but a welcome one.

While inconsistent in quality, and probably his weakest whole body of work in awhile, it still manages to be rather fun while being very honest about mental health stability. If the whole thing was as good as the second half (unpopular opinion i think) this would be near Worlds level, but it's still quite good.

Not my favorite from Tyler but he still delivers a solid album. The way the album flows is kinda weird and there's a random 3 track lull near the middle, but outside of that I like the attention to detail in a lot of the production, and there are a lot of individually great songs. Just wish it was pieced together a bit better and the execution on some ideas was stronger.
