Everything I could have hoped for and more from a post-Tomorrow's Harvest Boards of Canada release.

...I mean, it's a *little* better. I still have no idea how whatever project these singles culminate in is going to come together. It feels like Charli and her music don't know what they want to be in the wake of a post-brat world. The songs are so barebones and quick that there's nothing to do but double down on the ironic affect, it seems. Based on the singles, I was so scared that this album would be her next in her long line of late-career stumbles, but no! There are very few songs on here where it feels like Tori is just playing by numbers, the majority of the album feels like it's pushing into novel territory for her, both songwriting and production-wise.
