Drake - MAID OF HONOUR
40

even as a certified drake meat muncher i cant get into this bro. i don't hate the idea of one rapping album, one RnB album, and one club album, but Drake has the talent to make much better club and RnB albums than Maid of Honour and Habibti. most of it feels gimmicky and annoying. Road Trips is amazing tho.

Drake - Certified Lover Boy
80

Certified Lover Boy might be the biggest vibe any Drake album has. Nobody comes close to beating him in that late night moody style, and this album has a lot of great tracks for that. There are some songs where it might be mid if you're playing it in the wrong setting but is amazing for a late night. There is a lot of quality to be found here, but it gets brought down by some poor choices with some of these songs. For example, Girls Want Girls could have been a really good song if Lil Baby ... read more

System of a Down - Toxicity
48

Toxicity by System of a Down starts with some of the most awful, obnoxious noise I've heard, morphs into something somewhat tolerable, and reaches by far its highest point at Aerials, which is probably the only track worth revisiting. Inconsistent and overrated.

The Beatles - Let It Be
70

I wonder how they went from recording this mostly mid album to the greatest album of all time in the same year.
While all the songs individually are okay, with the exception of The Long and Winding Road and Let It Be being incredible, they just don't feel like they fit together all too well. Nevertheless, it is still a Beatles album.

To be clear, yes, I made this album. However, my review is unbiased and just based on how much I enjoy each track. This is the first album I've made that I really love. If you look at my review of my last album I absolutely shit on it, so this is just my honest thoughts.

Mitski - Nothing's About to Happen to Me
60

Nothing's About to Happen to Me demonstrates Mitski's ability to write some nice lyrics but not much else. A few of these tracks show a critical misunderstanding of how music should build and release energy, as it can feel like nothing is driving the song forward. This definitely isn't the case for all of these songs, though, as Where's My Phone had some great energy and I enjoyed it, and Rules had probably the best production on the album, it's just the weird counting ... read more

Juice WRLD - Death Race For Love
88

An incredible collection of some of Juice's best work. All the production is great, the hooks are catchy, and the vocals, while sometimes abrasive and over auto-tuned, are good as well. The lyrical content is solid and especially impressive when you consider the fact that Juice basically freestyled all of these. Do wish he cut down a bit on the vulgar sexuality, though. Overall just a great vibe and definitely the best emo rap album I can think of.

Black Country, New Road - Ants From Up There
45

You know, I really wanted to enjoy this album, but this is perhaps the greatest example of criticslop I've ever come across. I really wasted an hour on this, but at least I get to hate on it. It tries so hard to be deep but most of the lyrics are just confusing and don't add much emotionally. You're lying if you say you fully understand everything without looking it up. It actually almost started out promising with Chaos Space Marine and Concorde having redeemable qualities, but ... read more

The Beatles - Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
90

One of their most ambitious projects has some great tracks, although A Day in the Life shines far above the rest. There are a few dull moments like Good Morning Good Morning, making this a naturally overrated album, but you can't complain too much. The title track going into With a Little Help from My Friends and the reprise right before A Day in the Life gives this album some nice cohesion, if even it doesn't flow as smoothly as Abbey Road. Overall a very good album from The ... read more

The Beatles - Magical Mystery Tour
76

This album was not how The Beatles intended to release these tracks, and it shows through the lack of thematic unity and a big difference in the quality of tracks from the first side of this double EP to the second. The first side, with music from the film Magical Mystery Tour didn't excite me too much besides The Fool on the Hill and Your Mother Should Know. Some ideas didn't seem fully fleshed out or were just bad to begin with in the case of I Am The Walrus. The second side, with ... read more

fakemink - Terrified .
72

Pretty good album with some nice highlights and production. It's cool to see someone like fakemink doing a sort of concept album here, following the storyline of Dante's Inferno. The spoken word parts seemed pretty unnecessary though and I really wish fakemink had rapped over the instrumental from Etna instead. Some instrumentals feeling over distorted and vocals that were repetitive at times lost this album some points but it's still solid.

This album starts with some high energy bangers but falls off into a long stretch of mid with some highlights all the way to pure garbage slop of Endless, Nameless. Although it isn't originally listed, Endless Nameless is clearly meant to be there and will affect my rating. It has great moments but is inconsistent.
