There continue to be zero misses in Peggy's catalogue. Sadly, mediocre songs weigh this album down a ton, and I don't think anyone would be particularly sad if they were deleted. Peggy also uses the exact same flow in every song, which gets REALLY tiring. There are still plenty of great tracks on here though. I do believe a majority of the hate for this album is because of Peggy himself and not the music, which is unfortunate. If only he wasn't such a cornball 🙏
Most things that could be considered short and sweet are perfectly fine the way they are, but ye is a short and sweet album that would've been so, so good if it wasn't quite as short.
Starts off very strong, but the second half of the album is just kinda forgettable.
Insanely mixed bag. Has phenomenal songs like 'Drugs You Should Try It', but then it also has 'Sloppy Toppy'.
Went into this with absolutely zero expectations, and it managed to pleasantly surprise me. Production and features hardcarry, but Hass is okay on most songs. It's simply just an okay gospel album with a few standout songs.
Bloated, yet beautiful and at times brilliant. Heavily flawed in a way only Ye could manage, and an album only Ye could make. It's hard to believe that emotional masterpieces such as 'Life of the Party', 'Moon' and 'Come To Life' can exist on the same album as 'Tell The Vision'.
Fun, fresh, and replayable. Gets a lot of undeserved hate, from what I've seen at least. Can't wait for Rocky's next drop in 20 years!
Good beats, good flows, good hooks, another great album in Mach's catalogue.
Messy, lazy, sloppy, unfinished, boring, depressing, etc, etc. Could've kept this one unreleased.
Many songs on here with insane potential that will most likely never be realised. Certainly Ye's best work in a hot minute, which is slightly depressing considering the quality of his past projects. With some more love and a few more tweaks it could easily be an eight to a nine, but Ye's habit of releasing half-finished albums has become quite annoying.
This is what I imagine a mental breakdown mixed with a stroke feels like.
While it may not be the boldest experimental album ever, its influence is undeniable. Still sounds new and fresh, even a decade later.
