Wicca's voice is certainly unique and for me, it took a lot of time to appreciate. This is his first project I've learned to love and I've come to appreciate his artistry. Looking forward to finding more to enjoy.
People are so harsh on this album because it's Eminem. If this album dropped with someone else's name on it, it wouldn't get nearly so much hate and that's because when it comes to Eminem we expect greatness. This album has flashes of the classic Em, like on Castle and Arose, but it does get lost in a sea of meh in the middle of the album. It's an album with some decent songs, some clunkers, and a few that are even pretty good. That's the makings of a decent album, not the train wreck this is ... read more
To me, this album was very disappointing. When Youngblood and Want You Back came out, I was ready for a very strong album from 5SOS to make up for their lackluster sophomore effort. As it turns out, the two strongest songs were released as singles which just made the rest feel flat in comparison. It's a very non-offensive pop album that shows 5SOS has lost just about all of what made it unique. It feels like an album full of filler.
Edit: After returning to this album, I enjoy it a lot more ... read more
In my opinion, Peep was bound to do big things. It was a question of when, not if he'd blow up. Many of the tracks on this mixtape highlight exactly how good he was within his signature sound (Gucci Mane and Hellboy come to mind). He gets a lot of unfair criticism in my opinion from people who write him off because he was a "soundcloud rapper", or because Fantano didn't like him, but he made his own lane and excelled at what he did. Rest in peace Peep.
I was late to the party with Peep, only exploring his music after his passing, but since then he's become my favorite artist. Come Over When You're Sober is his most polished release by far and every track on it is solid. No, his lyrics aren't very developed (they really haven't been for a while) but the overall vibe and sound of the album drawn you in. If you're open minded, I believe this album is something most people can come to enjoy, even if only a track or two off of it. I'm excited for ... read more
I hate how smoothed out Finn's voice sounds on this, granted it works on some tracks like Blame. But, his voice has such an interesting raw quality to it, that this EP is totally missing in some places (listen to his cover of My Kind of Woman to hear it). The instrumentation is very solid this is a very good release considering these are all kids. Seeing more from them will be exciting.
