This is easily the best Eminem album he has released since TES as he showcases his technical ability over fresh material. Em manages to avoid cliches for the most part and the songs are a throwback to his days where he would just let his raw ability take over. All in all I am a very big fan of this album and hope this is a return to form for him.

This is a weird EP for me because I can hear why people like it, but most of the songs don't quite work for me. I came to it by finding the song Hostage on the trending page of apple music and it's really the only song that I found to be memorable. On Syre, Jaden showed flashes of creativity and ingenuity but it seemed he often got in his own way with cringe-worthy lyrics and egotistical references that held the songs back. The second half of the album (everything after track 9 for me) fell flat because of this. On these remixes, Jaden stays out of his own way and makes some really cool stylistic choices that really worked for me. I'm interested to see where he goes from here.

This is a tough album to give a rating to. There are many tracks that are very good and engaging (Summer Games and Don't Matter to Me come to mind) but there are also many filler tracks that make the whole listening experience worse. Overall, if Drake had actually trimmed the fat of this album instead of releasing a 25 track monster it could have gone down as a very good album. Now it's just forgettable.

One of my pet peeves is when an album's strongest songs are released as singles, and that's exactly what happened with this album. It made the rest of the album feel weak by comparison. That combined with the fact that Brendon's lyrics and melodies were not very inventive this time around leads to a generally weak Panic! album that is ultimately disappointing as a whole.
