the production is interesting at times, but i think her delievery on the first half is just trying too hard to be quirky and can come off as annoying instead, the 2nd half was enjoyable, she has a nice soft very human singing voice
the closer is really nice aswell
nice try dev
boylife comes back after 4 years from dropping one of my favorite records "gelato" somehow even better, even more emotional, even more honest, and even more freaky sometimes, doesnt have the emotional highs as something like "church" did but i think this project just sounds more "boylife" and i HOPE we dont have to wait another 4 years but i know he won't dissapoint.
a great comeback record after jutos really apparent disappearance! the production has improved, voice and melodies feel sharper! its super solid, the pacing of the longer songs dont drag either. everything feels really polished and considering how upward his trajectory was with his earlier projects i hope this puts them back on alot of peoples radar that maybe forgot about em.
its solid, but its just more of the same which is fine, its an enjoyable record, i find it onpar or if anything a lil worse than the first alfredo, but a solid followup nonetheless.
take that damn sunroof off! put your hand on the very pretty person;s shoulder in the passenger seat! (consenually ofc) and listen to this shit and smile.
such a lovely standout record, feels very diy but not so amateurish that its a flaw. it's put together with alot of intent and great great sense of melodies. it prioritizes a feeling which really adds alot to how these songs stick.
"Love in U" sounds like something Matt Martians of "The Internet" would make but with ... read more
truly an album that lifts quadeca into special conversations. however i was expecting even a little more if im honest, it's unfair to him but those singles really misdirected me but not entirely in a bad way. its a journey but i do feel that its own ambition gets in it's way at times. still despite it's flaws this will be helded as a work that stands the test of time.
its pretty and defintely a standup from the last record but still think the record could have some stronger melodic elements throughout, theres alot of style but not enough substance i feel. his creative vision is so strong and is becoming more and more him as time goes on though, im not counting him out yet.
i like the contained sound, but it’s pretty hit or miss on the record, the production is pretty safe too here aswell, second base and get ready are good attempts at the genre aswell, i’m not the biggest fans of the features here, they don’t really add much to the songs, muchi does better when he’s just solo imo on this ep. solid but not something i’ll be coming back to
another evolution another effortless change sonically, lyrically its one of his weaker records but it's so clearly not intended to blow you away, the flows are great, it gets you moving, it has some of his best production to date (that closer 3 tracks my God). tyler continues his winning streak but I am hoping that the next record is a full blown idea, the biggest flaw of this record is that it doesnt have much substance but again, thats kinda the point.
wow wow wow what a lovely breakout record from legxacy man, so much intention and heart put into everything here, lots of fusions but still feels cohesive, i’m hoping this ushers more and more “underground” artists to take note that real art wins always
this is pretty sloppily executed, alot of the instrumentals are just so one-note and vocally he doesnt add much to them with the really off-putting vocal tuning, i do think on "Kaleidoscope" he has something interesting and it actually works, he has a very interesting take on this sound throughout the album but it consistently comes off unpolished and lacking. especially during the first half of the record. writing wise sensei nebula doesnt really have much to say, and its even harder ... read more
solid debut album from saekyi, def came here cause of the mckinley ft but was happily suprised with some of the bangers on this, i do think there is more to be desired here with there only being 7 (8 if u count the bonus) actual songs on the project but for the most part they are pretty solid and the writing is very thoughout, i do think his singing could use some work tho,
solid record!
its gonna get shit on cause its jb but theres purpose put into the record and sincerity that is something that i personally never really got from his stuff before, theres some stinkers but some really well done tracks, nothing too insane but pairing mk.gee production with one of the best singers of the generation is going to lead to some enjoyment to be found.
the majority of this record has such high level writing and execution, but there are moments where it doesnt meet its own standard (6,12,13)
but besides that GODDAMN THIS ALBUM IS PEAK
a solid project from rising uk talent feng, i was pleasantly suprised with how solid this project was. hoping he keeps progressing
this is a really cool body of work from a younger Nourished By Time. im glad he posted it on his insta today or i doubt i wouldve came across it, i really like the majority of the songs here, the ideas he goes for are executed pretty decently (twisted! has to be one of my favorites from him period i cant lie) and his singing blends really well with the production even if the production pales to his later stuff. really cool and interesting listen.
a solid debut from honestly byof's most talented member imo, i do think there are some songs that fall by the wayside but there is a very contained soundscape that hold you throughout it all, this was a nice suprise project from them
the highs are high, the lows do exist, but man the love put into it is undeniable
