I remember finding out about Redveil when Scaring the Hoes dropped and just thinking to myself, "Damn, this dude is really good wtf." Even though this album is far from bad, it often just feels like an unfinished collection of demos rather than a fully fleshed-out project.
There's something about young Kendrick that just feels so special. He sounds so hungry and ambitious but also so down-to-earth and relatable at the same time. Unfortunately, the quality of his music at this point was still not on par with what we know he can do at his best, but this album is still an amazing listen regardless.
