C'est l'album le plus développé et recherché que j'ai jamais entendu dans le rap français. An iconic album: incredibly well produced, hugely influential, expertly rapped — all the praise it gets is deserved, and I completely understand why it's considered a classic.
That being said, I have to admit that it’s just not really my style, and it’s not the kind of album I’d find myself listening to on a regular basis.
Lil Skies lost me on his very first album...
I don’t know, it just feels empty and flat. His flows sound recycled, and the production is some of the least original emo trap/SoundCloud production I’ve ever heard. There are a few bangers, obviously, but I’m just bored. The project never really sticks with me, and I’ll probably forget about it pretty quickly.
Fav track: Stop the Madness.
A solid Lil Peep EP with really strong production. Huge credit to Meeting by Chance, who brings a genuine artistic touch to the project and gives it a distinct identity.
It’s emotional, well performed, and often quite moving, but I have a hard time with the mixing. It’s not something I’ll come back to very often, but for a posthumous EP, it’s surprisingly well executed.
