An iconic album: incredibly well produced, hugely influential, expertly rapped — all the praise it gets is deserved, and I completely understand why it's considered a classic.
That being said, I have to admit that it’s just not really my style, and it’s not the kind of album I’d find myself listening to on a regular basis.
Lil Skies lost me on his very first album...
I don’t know, it just feels empty and flat. His flows sound recycled, and the production is some of the least original emo trap/SoundCloud production I’ve ever heard. There are a few bangers, obviously, but I’m just bored. The project never really sticks with me, and I’ll probably forget about it pretty quickly.
Fav track: Stop the Madness.
A solid Lil Peep EP with really strong production. Huge credit to Meeting by Chance, who brings a genuine artistic touch to the project and gives it a distinct identity.
It’s emotional, well performed, and often quite moving, but I have a hard time with the mixing. It’s not something I’ll come back to very often, but for a posthumous EP, it’s surprisingly well executed.
C'est... Complique.
It’s pretty basic overall — nothing really new or exceptional — but it gets the job done. A really solid little EP from Freddie Gibbs that blends emotion, flows, and strong production well.
Hopefully a full album follows.
A really strong start from Kid Cudi on this mixtape, with varied and enjoyable production alongside some great performances from Cudi himself. The features also bring something interesting every time they appear.
That being said, I do think the project has a few unnecessary tracks. Cudi probably could’ve trimmed it down into a tighter 30-minute mixtape.
Fav tracks: The Prayer, Embrace the Martian, Save My Soul
This is the first reggaeton album I’ve ever listened to, and honestly, I had a pretty good time with it. That said, I found the album a bit repetitive, and more importantly, way too long. I think a few tracks could have been cut without hurting the overall experience.
One of the most iconic and influential albums in music history. This was grunge at its peak: lyrics that perfectly capture a raw and emotional world, instrumentation used to its fullest potential, and Kurt Cobain’s powerful, unforgettable voice.
If I had to criticize one thing, it would probably be that some of the songs sound a bit similar to each other. Then again, this was only my first listen, so that 10/10 might still come with time.

Very good album, but I think there’s still room for improvement when it comes to the project’s structure and the length of some tracks.
I’m not a huge fan of his music in general, and this album definitely isn’t the one that’s going to convert me. JPEGMAFIA delivers what is, in my opinion, his least interesting project.
The lyrics… man, it gets exhausting. Even as someone who listens to a lot of trap, I got tired of constantly hearing about “money” and “bitches.” But honestly, the worst part might be his rapping style itself. He sticks to the same flow for almost the entire ... read more
I’m not the biggest fan of this album, even though I appreciate the attempt to reinvent their sound compared to the previous records.
I thought Daft Punk were incapable of making a bad album, but apparently I was wrong. Human After All feels like a huge recycling of the sounds from their two previous albums.
It would probably be hypocritical of me to criticize the lack of risk-taking, since I often enjoy straightforward or formulaic albums, but this one just isn’t that great as a full project. I got pretty bored listening to it, despite a few bangers here and there.
Even the tracks where they repeat the same word over ... read more
