Wasn’t expecting this album to be so relaxing and comfortable, but that’s what made it so great
Favorites: Do You Realize?, Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots Pt. 1, Are You a Hypnotist??
Imagine showing this to someone from the 1920s and saying this is how music is gonna sound 100 years from now
Favorites: Kingdom Hearts Key, God Loves You, SCARING THE HOES
I found the production to be a bit overrated on this one but Danny still dropped a classic with this one
Favorites: Combat, Best Life, 3 Tearz
I really danced myself clean with this one. The tunes on this are so unforgettable. This album won’t leave my head at all but I hope it doesn’t
Favorites: I Can Change, All I Want, Dance Yrself Clean
Sweet Trip is the perfect name because the trips they take you on are always pretty sweet
Favorites: Milk, Acting, Your World is Eternally Complete
The production didn’t stand out to me as much as it would for some songs on this project, but those songs had some of Danny’s funnest bars so I couldn’t really care. Danny did such a good job at bringing out some fun and goofiness on this while also going deep into some issues
Favorites: Party All the Time, Fields, DNA
Wasn’t big on the slower parts, which I expected, but the album shined so well during the climatic parts, could even say it was GLOWING
Favorites: The Glowing Man, Frankie M, Cloud of Forgetting
Very easy listen, but maybe too easy of a listen. Nothing really stood out to me but nothing sounded bad either.
Favorites: esprit.wav, peter.wav, whispers.wav
This feels like the perfect introduction album for getting someone into Swans (as someone who listened to this for their first Swans album)
Favorites: The Great Annihilator, I Am The Sun, Telepathy
Simple album, but still perfectly original in its own way
Favorites: Plastic People, Love Cry, Angel Echoes
Nothing stuck out about this as much as the other two Danny Brown projects I have listened to so far, but still a good album nonetheless
Favorites: Celibate, Quaranta, Down Wit It
Quadeca, you may haunt me any time π€©
Favorites: fantasyworld, fractions of infinity, house settling
For an album like this, you’d expect it to be pretty repetitive. Luckily, that ended up not being the case. However, I did end up wanting more at the end of it.
Favorites: Fabienk, Yor Zarad, Mata Zyklek
Didn’t expect that many ambient tracks on here. Unfortunately, those ones didn’t do much for me at all. Cities Aviv still claps back pretty well with the cloud rap sound I love from him on multiple tracks though
Favorites: Operation 8, Tribeca, Even Colder Spring (Part 1)
This album has multiple different vibes and they are all so heavy. If you listen to this and don’t cry, smile, or reminisce, then you can’t be human
Favorites: Reichenbach Falls, Holy Hell, Do You Think I’m Pretty
I love weird albums, even if this is one of the most normal Panda Bear and Animal Collective projects
Favorites: Did You See The Words, Turn Into Something, Daffy Duck
The singles definitely carry this album a good bit but it’s still a great return album after over half a decade
Favorites: Funny Friends, She Knows Too Much, No More Lies
Listened to this on a bus in Florida, life doesn’t get much better than that
Favorites: SPACE INVADER, HOME, DON’T WORRY BABE/I GOT U BABE
I think I definitely set my expectations a bit too high for this one but it still made for an unforgettable late night listening experience, especially with the first song
Favorites: Hey, Space Cadet (Beast Monster Thing in Space), Beast Monster Thing (Love Isn’t Love Enough), America (Never Been)
