Hozier's first, self titled album really spoke to me.
Im always in awe with how he writes, especially about love. I think my favourite on here is "Work song". His perspective and the way he words himself so beautifully: "When my time comes around, lay me gently in the cold dark earth. His songs are truly beautiful. When i listen to this album, i get a certain sad but warm feeling, which i can't quite explain.
The way he combined a calm voice with sad, nostalgic melody and then a more intense voice with a rush of instruments in his songs is magical. This is what the inside of my brain sounds/feels like. I will always come back to this album.
