The Ravedeath Still Hurts is one of the best songs I’ve ever heard, no holds barred. Every time I listen to it it hits just as hard as the first time. The looping, haunting melody evokes images of lounging in a shallow suburban community pool on a hot summer day, slightly exhausted and sunburnt, yet still vividly aware. I’ll admit, this album is verryyyy one note. However, it’s a note I found to be quite enjoyable. It immediately and clearly felt inspired by nu metal acts like chevelle linkin park and deftones but takes on a much dreamier, more hypnotic character. Great vocals which float in and out of rhythmic wall of sound instrumentals.
cool production unbelievably corny writing. the sound design and overall production on pretty much all his music I’ve heard is atleast somewhat cool and interesting and is usually very much so. but god the lyrics and delivery on this thing make it genuinely hard to sit through at times.
Incredibly boring and commercial rage album. The beats are hard but the production gets incredibly repetitive after the first couple songs. This wouldn't be too much of an issue, however, if this album wasn't 30 songs long. This album's more bloated than a chronic IBS patient. The album's 30 song runtime is far, FAR too long. I enjoy this album a lot.
The sonic landscapes this album creates are truly something to behold. I envy Fred’s ability to capture such nuanced emotions and translate them perfectly into songs.
Half of the songs on here are so effortlessly light and carefree you just can’t help but smile. “glow” in particular takes us on a beautiful journey that feels like basking in a grassy field on a sunny day.
