this girl is an absolute QUEEN of pre-choruses
in this era of a big electropop/edm influenced pop resurgence, i think the vulnerability and sheer vocal performance of this album is not only incredible and makes it stand out in the best ways possible, it’s exactly what to expect from tiffany and she frankly just kills it.
i don’t think the album is immune to redundancy, but i think the variation in individual song messages and much more tone changes helps to make this album more than ... read more
really emulates that weird pseudo-polished arrangement that comes from insanely diverse yet overly digitized production, which is just like a *thing* i tend to like.
the project itself is short and sweet, i love the divided nature of Pretty Peach, it really feels like a closure/epilogue sorta deal and its cute for that. I have to give this project props for doing something fairly unique in each moment and not trying to overdo the style and purpose each song serves. I don't think i'm ... read more
painfully disinteresting project. kinda just felt nothing for or against it
i have no idea when this entered my library but i’ve been listening to it a lot the last few months and just haven’t been bothered to translate it in order to put it onto here until airbuds told me i was the #1 listener a few days ago and so i was like oh hey i can review this easier now
anyway that’s a hell of a tangent, i really love the opening track, it’s a really juxtaposed track but it sets a great standard for the EP, especially with how hard the 2nd track just ... read more
mirage and fireflies are really incredible, the next 5 songs take very unique directions for sure, and don’t even fall flat necessarily, i’m just not impressed by them overall.
destiny is also quite amazing but im pretty sure that was a harumakigohan x nilfruits collab that just got stitched onto here.
and i support the existence of all the self covers, i love vocaloid producers that sing as well.
overall tho like pretty decent, a lot of harumakigohan projects wow me insanely w a ... read more
it’s like fine
the vocals r both passionate and emotionless it sounds like acting to me and like idk
pretty in an elegant way, when the tracks here have a lot of effort on the song side rather than an atmospheric and pretty sounding approach there’s a really enjoyable song to be heard, otherwise it’s a really nice full album.
on a side note i’ve had this album saved in my library for like a little over a year and was pleasantly surprised when vally.exe was on the final track and ive rlly been obsessed w her recent alohaii collab and haven’t known her at all before that ... read more
3 of these tracks are incredible, 3 are pretty good, the rest ranges from mid to just painfully bland. It feels extreme to say too much of this music lacks a real soul or care to it, but there's not a better way i think i can sum up just how thoughtless too much of this music comes across when heard outside of the game. This pales unimaginably in comparison to just how phenomenal loose p5 tracks happened to be, and whether or not this serves as better than p3's original ost is ... read more
one of those on-a-whim listens that turns into an unexpectedly good project for me, also i kinda needed an introductory spark for yeule and this'll probably do.
to be more direct, its neat! its consistent and well presented, if not just a little too simplistic, but something easy to come back to is never a bad thing.
its also got a lot of songs that sit in that weird borderline from being down low enough in feel to be on the softer music playlist i have and that stuff always eludes me in a ... read more
i think every ounce of rough edges and small unpolished moments present on my initial thoughts of tracks like Not Quite There, ROT FOR CLOUT, Liason, Object of Affection (the last two striking me as more unfocused than unpolished, but my point stands) are completely removed, if not just shot dead and buried too far down to notice by the pure incredible quality of Clouddrop, Shiny Chariot, Manifesto, and Dance Delightful. This isn't just a deluxe that works to expand a tracklist for context ... read more
sum abt her vocals in the chorus sound so refreshing and clean despite their distortion its weird and also amazing
also yea what curiyusuty said nobody does vocal chops like tiffi
fist project that i wish every track was just a bit longer on, every track here has such a beautiful and creative atmosphere, but most tracks end before they really play themselves out, and the project itself isnt long enough for me to feel all too lost in the feeling this EP is going for.
the last two tracks are really solid, everything else is great but just really really needed to be longer :/
thank u porter robinson for track 6, otherwise this is solid with a couple boring moments, but nothing rlly bad.
deco kinda already has this song 12 other times, its predictable and bland, but i think its a step in the right direction considering how much we've lost any sense of the rock-adjacent vocaloid that deco really thrives in.
i do really like the small synth patterns in it though, i think if this is an actual single for an album and not some throwaway we might be in for a good project.
