this is a gem
I usually tend to dislike albums i see too common of one song structure present in, cause it reads to me as uninspired if anything, with examples coming to mind of these being frailty and american boyfriend by kevin abstract. PIXIEDUST003 tends to have each of its 13 songs abide to that album sin for me, in how really most of the tracks introduce themselves, develop into a steady beat, then crash into one hell of a breakdown halfway into the track that in its better instances ... read more
I WANT THIS WOMAN TO KILL ME respectfully but like HOW DO U MAKE THIS WHATTTTHAJKWSDHFAKLSDFH
wayyyy too short but genuinely one of the best vibrant edm/electro pop albums ive heard, dream dream dream is probably one of madeons best songs period
this is kinda insane how on theme and aquatic it feels, let alone the fact this goes insanely hard
theres also a shot out of the 6 tracks on guardian this is the shortest so like holy shit

It's a little one-note, and as not a huge fan of kmoe i'm not totally sure if he can hit something way more creative, but overall it's pretty alright.
Nothing here feels unexpected based on what i see from kmoe's identity, like its not crazy innovative, and for a guy that (no offense) lacks enough style and presentation to seem like a crazy interesting producer, it just kinda makes sense.
I think the main problem i have is that too many of these tracks feel like there's ... read more
this whole discog on aoty needs a ton of correction, none of these are eps/albums shes just really really slowly rolling out an album and formatting the tracklist while she goes no matter what holes exist in it
I was saving this for like a milestone of sorts but it kinda hit hard on relisten today and im in a mood to review stuff
this 3 and a half year old album has had every praise under the sun thrown at it, the interesting part about it however is that due to how drastically jane has changed their style throughout each album release there's really nothing that's changed about this album, its context or meaning, or really the sound apart from how many waves its made since to inspire others ... read more
I'll write some long review for this when i stop crying to it
so i probably wont
listen to visiting hours please
these 6 songs have more total quality than the first 12, the fact they weren't part of it is a little upsetting ngl...
The wave of this album runs very thin, and to me that's its biggest issue. the feel of this record is done in a way that definitely feels like a complete and established identity with these grandiose pulsing synths on simple 2-4 snare patterns to make most songs here feel like this march towards a horizon, inspired by these fittingly huge vocal performances (in most songs with them) with little fun moments of instrumental with much more challenging edm/electro house production that are the ... read more
the art direction for this mixtape and its singles looks like a powerpoint
So! another 18 track release from kuru less than a year after re:wired, an album that really stuck out to me with how well kuru managed to blend so much together that really reflected the lengthy time the album took to make according to kuru, with tracks like vo://id, halcyon and re:wired among others still sticking out in my mind a lot with just how well each were in quality. I say all this to kinda juxtapose these ... read more
im kinda forcing myself to like this song cause i wanna like this album for the other 2 features im so excited for but i gotta be honest I got nothing to say about this other than i didnt like it on fl soooooooo its kinda bland idk
its easily his worst
I think i gave boy like a 50, which was harsh and ive warmed up to it since, as i do see a lot more quality to it now than i did on second listen, and despite how bland it really felt, i can acknowledge where it gets creative and actually does something interesting, and i like it for that.
this album doesn't have that going for it whatsoever
it feels rude to say most of this project feels like its trend chasing some tiktok song cliche, as i think there's more to ... read more
this being the last worlds live set (i think) is such an incredible and fitting sendoff cause this all sounds so pure to worlds in all the best ways
its like a cute little imaginarium leftover in style, especially in the mv's artstyle, and its a very strange mix of a christmas and halloween song in one, i remember this being such a weird and interesting listen the night it released, and i do rlly still love its atmosphere.
it took me 3 years to like MAGIK, I used to like the other 3 tracks here a LOT more tho
