muy buenos feats, en la línea de xannyday; es bastante irregular, pero en este album, aunque sea de descartes, se luce. Diría incluso que puede ser mi proyecto favorito suyo, quizás al mismo nivel de EEPYY
very original noise rock, its hard find an enjoyable listening like this
I find it too long, I find it has some forgettable moments, such as certain tracks in the second half of the project. Some songs, like “Beyond” or “Motherboard,” could have used more work. A little more soundplay. This album received a lot of hype, especially in the media, and in part this also skews how you listen to the album.
This album is how it sounds to be ashamed, to feel stupid, to be self loathing and how it is to be anxious at a party. The music is a odd combo of twinkly folk, glitch pop, synth pop, ambient and dance music. Some of the songs are even played on a Nintendo DS.. To me this is the best Xiu Xiu album to listen in full. It's hard for me to hear one song and not want to play it all from the beginning
2 of my favorite annoying genres mixed together:
1. Women with "grating" vocals all screaming together.
2. Breakcore
It's mangled together in such a beautiful way. It's honestly surprising more people didn't form digital hadcore bands like this.
Such a plenty recourses mixing all together in this project, cery creative inmersive songs, there's keyboards, percussion, mandolin, banjo, sampler, brass instruments and optigan. This band has been called a noise rock band, but the noise influence are really toned down and don't get as abstract or abrasive as some noise bands out there. The noise and lo-fi elements are blended with poppy singing, ambient sounds and folk instrumentation.
some weird (and the best) rappers mixing all together in an album, great beats, personal lyrics and top notch production. Some may say listen these rappers offbeat, lyrics are pretentious or nonsensical. I disagree, the lyrics have a lot of meaning to them, you just have to look into them. I mean, if you write extremely personal lyrics about your day to day life, or if you tried to explain your personal thoughts about stuff, many people probably will have trouble connecting with what ... read more
¿Y si hiciéramos noise rock lo más estéril y desprovisto de energía posible? Y extrañamente limpio. Less Sex suena increíblemente comercial en particular. «The Reason They Hate Me» es... interesante, dado el contexto. Está muy claro que intentaban entrar en la corriente indie dominante y es malo.
En mi opinión, como entusiasta del noise, nada adelantado a su tiempo, hay proyectos mejores que intentan generar emociones ... read more
It's classic post-punk, and as such, very repetitive post-punk, but without neglecting the rhythmic and wild nature that characterizes this sound. I feel that it's one of the most underrated bands of classic post-punk, because people tend to talk about other post-punk bands from the 70s, but I feel that this band deserves more recognition!! :)
It's one of Unwound's best albums; it's the more mechanical side that influenced post-hardcore math rock, more like repetition, we could say.
They are a British indie rock band who mix indie rock with many elements such as post-punk, emo, and math rock. They are a very, very creative band and have one of the best indie rock albums in history, but they are not very well known because they didn't release much else, only one album and one live recording.
love the concept, love the Way Niño maldito & Cálido lehamo rapsodia, the flows and the lyricism. My favs rappers
my fav sonic youth album!! I know its a un popular opinion but I love how the band plays with more noisy sound on this LP
