continuing to prove that there will never be anyone who can produce and write like this ever
(Ignoring the fact that this is something different and pretending this is the full ost)
This is a perfect soundtrack, so many great songs. Best battle themes in the series with Time To Make History, I'll Face Myself, The Almighty, The Genesis. I could go on and on about how well the music fits the atmosphere of the game, it's perfect.
I can't say much about Death Metal as a whole, because if I do it's not very positive. I simply had to listen to this as a racing fan. And good god, is it awful. This is what old people think Slayer sounds like. Nothing in any of these songs mesh because it sounds like they were all recorded without any idea what other parts sounded like. The mixing, the lyrics (if you can understand them), and the writing is all absolute shit. It tries to go for a slow grind in a lot of songs and it just ... read more
It would be wrong to give this anything but a perfect. Forty-two minutes of absolute genius. I love every aspect of this record, top to bottom, left to right. No album I've heard up to this point has made me feel things like this album has. From the elegance of 'You're Everything', to the simplicity of 'Children's Song', to the fun and energetic 'Spain', this album can be described with one word: pretty. It's beautiful. The vocals and instrumentals are all masterfully done. Perfection.
I absolutely loathed this album when I was younger and after re-listening to it, I still do. Generic writing at best and cringe corporate decisions made to sell records. I'm not just saying that based off of my opinion either, the band even admitted the album was made to be a quick cash grab. Most of the writing comes off as egotistical with it's "I'm better than you" attitude. It's embarrassing because this album does a lot of talking shit with nothing to back it up. Don't get me ... read more
'Attention Attention' really highlights Shinedown's transition into experimenting with different types of rock. It uses a lot of electronic music to get it's instrumentals across, which may or may not be for you. 'The Entrance' is actually a pretty solid introduction that features a man opening a door and walking into a room before sitting down and taking a deep breath. It is definitely unnecessary and adds nothing of value but to me it's a nice touch, especially considering Shinedown's history ... read more
This one is really mediocre at it's best. It's albums like this one that really showcase how inconsistent their discography is and that quality over quantity is key. I'm not entirely sure what's worse, it being annoying to listen to or it being so boring that I start to zone out from the music. One plus is that Dave's vocals are actually tolerable, why couldn't he have done this when they actually wrote good shit? Speaking of writing, the writing on this album sucks shit, both in the vocals and ... read more

I love this album, it is perfect. The cleanest mixing of any Thrash Album I've EVER heard. You can hear everything clearly and the Bass is present, this is coming from someone who immune to being able to hear the bass. The riffs and drum fills CUT DEEP which is something I'm a sucker for. The opening track, 'Holy Wars...The Punishment Due' is one of the greatest Thrash Anthems of all time and sets the tone for the rest of the albums. It is followed by more ... read more
Planet Zero is a disorganized chaotic shitshow. I remember listening to this album during a long car ride and just being genuinely confused, especially after the single was pretty damn good. But this ended up being a fucking drag to listen to, and it's only a 48 minute album. All in all, it feels like a really shitty mixing pot of normal shinedown turned down to negative 7 and a bunch of boring acoustics and interludes. The interludes were really annoying, like I understand they were attempting ... read more

This album is amazing. It shoots to kill. This is the album that puts Anthrax into The Big Four and leaves a mark on thrash metal history. It opens with what (in my opinion) is the greatest three song run of all time, opening with 'Among The Living' , 'Caught In A Mosh', and 'I Am The Law'; it brings the true style of trash with speed and preciseness, while having killer vocals and rage inducing backup vocals to accompany it. It leads right into 'Efilnikufesin ... read more

This is one of the most consistent albums I've listened to. There isn't a bad song on the album (not counting interludes) which is something a truly great album needs. From start to finish it encapsulates what the Primus Experience is. It is filled with good humor, great bass talent, and Primus' best drumming work ever. This is a must listen and a great first album for anyone who wants to start listening to Primus.
