I went into this completely blind, having never listened to Mac before. Five Easy Hot Dogs was a weird listen for me. Having no ideas or expectations going into this album, I was at first surprised which led to disappointment. The album feels sincere and has a sense of serenity. It weirdly motivated me, which completely shocked me as it is so different to my usual music taste, although it is still a mid-tier album.
