Certainly lives up to its reputation as an extremely influential trap album. Thug’s variety in his voice inflection and flows pleasantly surprised me as someone who’s only really listened to him through features. The beats were slightly more experimental, keeping them fresh while maintaining the fun factor that defined 2010s trap. Nothing blew me away, but it was an enjoyable listen that I don’t see leaving my rotation anytime soon.

Denzel’s discography is finally complete for me, and it ended with an absolute banger. Not much else to say, just an incredible sophomore album from one of the most consistent rappers in the game currently. No misses.
I’ve never heard anything from The Stooges before, so I didn’t have any prior expectations or knowledge of their sound going into this album. I certainly didn’t expect to hear a jazz garage metal hybrid of sound with extremely unique vocal performances. If this is the new sound, I really hope it stays cuz gahdamn the riffs and vocal inflections on this album are so refreshing. The production is some of the most unique stuff I’ve heard from a prog album so far, with clear latin influences that really spice up the grooves, which is especially prevalent on “Holy, Holy” and “Terra”.
