Nothing groundbreaking, but it's still a great collection of songs and beats from fakemink. Wish Fire & Ice could've been more, being a 7 minute song, but other than that I was very pleased by Terrified .
Normally I don’t write reviews for albums unless I give them perfect 10s, but this album has something to it that most music today is missing.
While it isn’t perfect, it’s a magnum opus that Cole has been portraying and hoping this album would be for the past 10 years, and how he executed this project is nothing short of a miracle. From hard hitting rap tracks like SAFETY or the latter half of 39 Intro, to introspective storytelling on I Love Her Again to beautiful guitar and ... read more
What’s Going On by Marvin Gaye is truly one of the most beautiful pieces of art to come out of the Soul genre, and deserves all the praise it gets. Absolutely stunning performances and beautifully crafted to perfection.
Kanye’s second best project, but still being perfect at the same time. Kanye shows why he’s one of the greats and does everything flawlessly, making one of the most luxurious sounding projects in all of Hip-Hop on this album.
Drake’s best album by far, and absolutely amazing. I know there’s the Kendrick and Drake beef that make people despise Drake’s music, but I think Drake should get credit where it’s due, and this album deserves all the flowers it should get because it’s truly amazing and shows Drake’s peak at its best ability.
The foundation of Jazz Rap, Q-Tip and Phife Dawg rap their hearts out and the production inspired an entire generation of rap, implementing Jazz into the production. Being the pioneer isn’t an easy thing to do, but A Tribe Called Quest did it perfectly and showed why they pioneered of of the best sub-genres of Rap.
The most obvious 10/10 the genres ever seen. Not only does Kendrick rap like he put his heart and soul into it, but he’s making a point on a cultural standpoint. Kendrick says what he needs to, and it’s everything that screams why To Pimp a Butterfly is as highly regarded as it is. Being the highest rated album on AOTY of all time, and I think it deserves it entirely.
Not seen nearly and highly as it should be, Travis does everything perfect here from the production to his rapping to the features, everything here is perfection and Utopia should get much more praise than what it’s due. Truly one of the best.
Some of the most raw rapping in the entire genre, Madlib showing why he’s the best producer of all time, and Freddie rapping like rent is due the entire album’s length. One of the best rap albums ever for the best reasons possible.
I can’t decide between this or Wish You Were Here for best rock album ever made, it’s truly spectacular and shows off the versatility that Radiohead has and how truly talented they are.
Seen as one of the pioneers of modern music, and realistically it should be in everybody’s top 10 at least. This album is truly spectacular and shows the true talents of music to the fullest. Portrays so many emotions and shows off how truly talented Stevie Wonder is and why this album belongs on a Mount Rushmore of music ever made.
A$AP Rocky at his creative peak, this album perfects his cloud rap style and shows off how talented of a rapper he is. The features on this album are also fantastic, and the way he incorporated Joe Fox into the songs was beautiful knowing the backstory of how he came to being on the album.
Painstakingly chilling and beautiful at the same time, this EP shows the truest darknesses of Earl’s personal life, and he pulls it off flawlessly. While being creepy at times, it fits the atmosphere perfectly and is a very easy listen at only 10 minutes.
The best album to come out of the 2020s (so far), everything about it is perfect; the production, the lyricism, the rapping, the flows, everything about Egotrip just screams perfection. This is the closest album we’ve had to The College Dropout since it came out in 2004, and John michel & Anthony James have perfected this style of hip-hop. I am aware that they are working together again on an upcoming project, and I could not be more excited to see what this duo has to share with us ... read more
R&B at its peak, Frank Ocean needs to return to drop more classics such as 'Blonde', because if he can make music like this, then he could potentially be one of the best artists ever if he just dropped more projects.
'The College Dropout' for me part of my very versatile top 3 projects of all time, each having its own reason of being in the top 3. 'Rodeo' is my favorite album of all time, having the most personal affect on me, 'good kid, m.A.A.d city' having the best storytelling and rapping of any album, and 'The College Dropout' has the best production out of any album ever. Kanye West truly did his thing on this album, making for the best debut album of all time, ... read more
Unlike 'Rodeo', this album is actually considered the best rap album of all time by many, and I couldn't agree more. While 'Rodeo' has had the most affect on me physically and will always be my favorite, 'good kid, m.A.A.d city' has the best pure rapping, storytelling, and overall experience as an album of all time, and will live to tell its tales for generations.
Big difference between 'best' and 'favorite', and this album proves it. While it may not be one of the better albums to be put out over time, it has stayed my favorite album to revisit and listen to day in and day out ever, and has affected me in ways no other album could. While some people just see it as another trap album, I see it as my favorite project to ever release, and Travis will always be my favorite rapper.
There’s just something about this album that soothes me, and makes me feel at peace. Mac truly delivered here and his estate has done a terrific job keeping his legacy as amazing as it has been.
