One of the messiest attempts of storytelling. It has its fair share of highs, such as those on 'Fuel' but the corniness of some of the lyrics is a major turnoff. Most of the lyrics are cringe, and the entire thing about Gen Z wanting to cancel him is weird. However, this is definitely his best album since the MMLP2.
While this is a solid record from Tyler, The Creator, I still cannot get behind some of the choices that he took on the project.
To start off - this LP is clearly inspired by my favorite album of all time, Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers. That is not a bad thing at all, if anything, that is an AMAZING thing. Kendrick is out here getting all of these artists to strip their ego away and help them to just be honest with their fanbase. Though, Tyler still would've made this even if Morale ... read more
Looking back, this was easily one of the best albums of 2024, and it is honestly underappreciated. I am not the biggest ScHoolBoy Q fan, but this was my AOTY until I discovered the Quadeca mixtape and when Kendrick Lamar released GNX. The production is killer, and the duality Q shows on this album is honestly astonishing. We have high-energy bangers like Yeern 101 & THank god 4 me, harder tracks like Pop & oHio, but we also get more introspective tracks like Blueslides & Smile.

I do find it a little slow, but still a good song either way!
I have decided to give this album a re-review. My old rating was a 70, and my new rating is an 83. I have never been much of a Mac Miller fan, but I do appreciate good music when I hear it. Mac Miller had an insane amount of talent before he passed, and I am very glad that his legacy is being upheld with these releases.
Honestly, I love this record. One of my favorite albums this year. Fantastic record. Rest in peace Mac Miller. This is currently my second favorite album of the year, second to ... read more
I only give 100's to albums I SERIOULSY think deserve it. And this just so happens to be one of those albums, right alongside Vanisher, Horizon Scraper by Quadeca. Are there a few misses within the track list? Are there a few moments and thoughts I feel like could've been executed better? Yes. But this album is painfully - and beautifully - human. I don't THINK an album like this has to be sonically perfect to be considered perfect, because guess what? Humans are not perfect, and ... read more
This is a benchmark album for Kendrick Lamar. Which is not a crazy thing to say at all. In my personal opinion, this is my go-to album for literally anything. If I am studying, I'll put my vinyl on my record player and play something like good kid, real, Compton, or even one of my most played songs of all time - Sing About Me, I'm Dying of Thirst, which also happens to be my go-to song for literally any situation. Riding my bike? Okay. School work? Okay, literally anything.

The best trap album of all time. The production is fire, and it is just banger after banger. 90210 is the best, and flying high is the worst.
"Because if Anthony killed Ducky, Top Dawg could be servin' life
While I grew up without a father and die in a gunfight"
- Probably my favorite lyric of all time.
DAMN. is the fifth studio length LP released by rapper/lyricist Kendrick Lamar after his previous album "To Pimp a Butterfly", which is one of the greatest albums of all time. And I will admit that this used to be my last favorite Kendrick Lamar project, but it is not up there in the top five again. (Mr ... read more
This might be one of the most popular opinions of all time, but To Pimp a Butterfly by Kendrick Lamar is the greatest album of all time, and this is seriously what cemented Kendrick Lamar as not only the greatest rapper of all time, but also as the greatest artist of all time.
Lamar has made three out of my five favorite albums of all time. good kid, m.A.Ad City, By The Time I Get To Phoenix, Vanisher, Horizon Scraper, Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers, and finally - To Pimp a Butterfly. And ... read more
