It's just bland. I'm a hip-hop head, so I guess this wasn't made for me, but I do see a lot of other people sharing my thoughts on this record, so I guess I ain't alone with this. This just seems like a copy of Taylor Swift, hell, she is even featured on one of the songs. If someone is going to copy Taylor Swift, at least make it good.
A little bit of a harsh rating, but honestly, it is just mid. Is this song made for a hip-hop head like me? No, but I have been hearing the bridge everywhere, so I decided to listen and I can confirm that the bridge is the only decent part of the songs. I hate the vocals, and the whole song just sounds like a rip-off mid Taylor Swift song that follows a formula. There isn't much... Soul put into the song.
A pretty nice and chill listen. A nice listen for any hip-hop head like myself if you have some work to do and you just need something calm to listen to. There were some lackluster tracks here and there, some interesting writing scattered in as well, but overall, a pretty solid project.
Honestly, J. Cole is starting to grow on me. I have never really thought of him as anything special, but this song is slowly changing my views on that. This is a very solid J. Cole song, and while I don't really agree with his reasoning for backing out of the beef that he was asking for, this track is still pretty good. Definitely in the weekly rotation.
Is this album made for me? No, I'm a hip-hop head. However, I still do like some pop, but this just doesn't stick out to me. One or two good songs here or there can't erase how much filler/absolute mid is inside this record.
I have recently gotten into Denzel Curry's discography, with Melt My Eyez See Your Future being the first album I listened to, and I can safely say that this is the best album I have heard from Denzel. It took me a few listens to fully digest what the meaning behind the album was, and I even had to watch a few videos breaking it down, but once I got it, holy shit. If you haven't listened to it, please do. This is a fantastic record from Zel.

Good lord this album is so fucking underrated. Seriously, it might be one of Kendrick's best.
My favorite album of all time is To Pimp a Butterfly, so of COURSE the B-Sides / Scraps would be some of my favorite scraps EVER. But in all fairness... These really don't sound like anything FROM To Pimp a Butterfly. I'd suppose that's because they are just totally unfinished ideas that wouldn't have made the cut even if they were finished, but most of these songs seriously ... read more
I am a Kendrick Lamar fan, so do take everything I say here with a grain of salt, as it may be bias. (I did listen to the album, and these are my honest thoughts about it.)
Overall, it is just boring. It is one of those albums where I just wished it was shorter halfway through. I honestly went into this album hoping that it was good, for Drake's sake, but it was just mid. The first few songs are forgettable at best, and bad at worst. There are a few gems in the album, and I found myself ... read more
Should have called this 'Not so Short 'n Sweet'
All jokes aside, this is a very good addition to the original album. There really isn't anything much to say about this, but it is good.
I never really went into this album with high expectations, as I was never a future fan, but I can say that it is... decent? Sure, I think it is mid, as I have liked Future or any trap artist besides Travis Scott, but it was alright I guess. The first half was very strong with songs like Type Shit & Like That, but after that it just kind of... fell off.
- Like that % Cinderella are easily the best songs on the album.
- GTA, Claustrophobic, Seen it all & whatever that song with Rick ... read more
Kanye's best album ever, and the only competition with it would be The College Dropout. The highs are insanely high, with his best song ever with Touch The Sky, along with We Major, Her Mama and the remix to Diamonds From Sierra with Jay-Z. Not a single bad flow or corny bar, and all the features are on POINT. However, I can't say that I really like Roses, Crack Music and Late, but I will still bump those and they are still amazing.

One of my least favorite songs off the album, but honestly, it is still amazing. The carti feature might be AI, and in that case, it is lazy, but The Weeknd simply carries this entire song. The beat is insanely catchy, the vocals are insane and the production is fantastic. Amazing song in general, despite it being one of the worst off the album.
One of the greatest rap albums of all time. It isn't as flashy as something like a To Pimp a Butterfly, but it is a benchmark in hip-hop history. This is the record that got people to realize that rap is an art form, & is also just happens to be a masterclass at Boom-Bap, and one of the closest records to being perfect in the world.
Top Three Songs:
1. N.Y State of Mind
2. The World Is Yours
3. It Ain't Hard to Tell
Alligator Bites Never Heal is the debut mixtape from singer/rapper and songwriter, Doechii. This will be a short review, as I don’t feel like there is much to talk about. Here we have a very strong and rather decent mixtape, and honestly, it was a breath of fresh air from just how much unoriginal and uninspired material we got this year. She is basically just throwing a bunch of different styles at a wall to see which one sticks, and most of them do, but the few that don’t leave a ... read more
After I went back to this album (do not do this), I realized that it was not as bad as I had once thought, but not by much. There was only one track that I actually thought was okay, the rest are just... No. I'm a pretty big JID fan, and even he couldn't save this record, or not even the song that he was featured on. This has none of the passion that she put behind her previous works, and none of the songs even hit close to how her older songs hit. This album really made me appreciate ... read more
It actually grew on me, and I am shocked. I used to me a D-1 Col;e hater (but let's be fair, I still am), but it is better than the 40 I originally gave it.
- 95 south, 100. mil and close are rather mid tracks
- my life is the best song, alongside amari.
Pretty solid J. Cole project, and most likely his 2nd best project ever.
I loved this record. There is not a single bad song on this album, and the lyricism is fantastic. Zel managed to make an album that is both thought provoking and highly repayable, as I find myself always going back to songs like Walkin and Sanjuro. The production is fantastic and all of the features are on point. There are hardly any tracks that make the album dip in quality, but those songs would be John Wayne and Ain't No Way. Overall, a very solid record from Zel, and one of my personal ... read more
