Legendary producer No I.D teams up with West-Coast rapper Saba for pretty easily the best album of this year, and honestly, it isn't talked about enough. This was my first time hearing about either of these people, and I was not let down when I checked out this LP.
- Every Painting Has A Price is the best song
- The production is near flawless
- The best moment is the beat switch on Westside Bound Pt. 4
Top Three Tracks:
1. Every Painting Has A Price
2. Westside Bound Pt. 4
3. a FEW songs
It's... Better. The deluxe really does add a lot, and here I will be talking about the album as a whole - including the new songs. These kind of negate how much mid is on the actual album, and it does carry a LOT. 2024 is one of the best songs on the album, & the rest of the songs on the deluxe are actually really good. I still don't believe it is the best on the album, as I still do think that RATHER LIE and GOOD CREDIT top it. I can see why people like it, but I am not really a ... read more
I relistened to this album again, and when I once considered it to be closer to SCRAPYARD and I Didn't Mean To Haunt You than people said, my thoughts. have now changed, a lot. For starters, the tracklist starts to fall off the second that Sisyphus ends. Candles on Fire and Shades of Us are really the only other songs worth listening to. Also, he kind of falls back into the same issues with his previous LP, aka just trying to rap quickly to make up for a lack of substance on just corny ... read more
Goodness, I am more excited for Vanisher than any other project, even JACKBOYS 2
This honestly might be better than ASTROWORLD for me. I love it. Standout songs are The Prayer, Drugs youYou Should Try it, Backyeard and Mamacita
I can see why people claim that it is Travi's best work, but also not? It isn't that close to Rodeo, but there are some insane tracks on here. The worst track is pretty easily NC-17, and the best song is STARGAZING. The beatswitch is insane, but that ONE lyric almost ruins it for me. The other standout tracks are SICKO MODE, STOP TRYING TO BE GOD, CAN'T SAY and SKELTONS.
Eh.... Is it bad? Not really? Is it also good? Not really. There are some very quality songs in here, but there is just not enough to make me thing that this is some of Trav's best work. the ends, goosebumps, sdp interlude are some insane standout tracks, but there ain't too much here.
A minorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Kenny fans eating good 2day!
I only have a few albums that I have actually bought or collected. Well, four to be exact. Good Kid, m.A.A.d City and To Pimp a Butterfly are the only two albums I own on vynals, but I know a best of the Doobies collection and this LP on CD. And I was excited when I actually got it.
My dad used to play this to me in the car, and it used to be my favorite shit of all time. And honestly? It holds up. Every album past this from Boston was NOT good at all, but this was fantastic. My favorite song ... read more
It was just not worth the wait. Very bloated & not even the Kendrick features could save the album ngl.
I have never really liked this type of music, but oih my lord, this album is fantastic. What's Going On might be one of the best cars ever created.
Y'all can't be sleeping on this one. The flows are crazy & it is actually heat
