Many of the problems with this album are things that were already possible to observe in previous ones, but got worse here. I don't think Taylor is a bad songwriter, but she isn't that good as some people think. If the production were better most people would'nt be so bothered about the cringy lyrics
People can judge her for doing a trend (even though I think "pop goes country" is something from the mid-2010s), but this is her most honest work since No Doubt's Rock Steady. Her past works were much more forced and commercial focused then this one.

This is much better than her first album. I don't understand why it gets so bad reviews. I don't think she's that good, but people exaggerate a lot when it comes to her.
