very strong debut from one of my fav artists ever

near perfect, can't wait to see ts live

def a product of it's time but still a very fun listen

bloat bloat bloat sahur, still has some amazing highlights tho

a really underrated debut with a few weaker moments here and there

the pop tape had so much potential

maybe my favorite album of all time, so beautiful

fourth listen, second attentive listen

i feel like this album could definitely age really well for me and become my favorite of the year. the production is soulful and gorgeous, the rapping is amazing, and even though I haven't fully digested the lyrics yet, i really enjoy the metaphorical style of writing and the themes of childhood. overall, while this album isn't perfect for me yet, i could see it become one of my all time favs overtime

i haven't listened to much jazz besides the vince guraldi trio but besides maybe the charlie brown christmas soundtrack or tpab if you count that as a jazz album, this is the best jazz album ive ever heard. everything about is perfect. i could say more but im sick so i dont really want to. in conclusion, get this on dsps NOW.

overall, while i do really enjoy this project, it does sometimes lean into it's insperations too much. for many tracks on this album i was like "yeah this is really good, but i'd kinda just rather listen to wolf". however, there's still a lot of original ideas on this record and the tyler inspired tracks are still very good. very excited to see more of detahjae in the future

this album is incredible but slightly overrated imo. while it's starts off and finishes really strong, the middle of the project has a few still great songs, but not incredible songs (similar to gdlu) still and incredible project nonetheless.
