HAUNT-O-HOLIXXX is wearing your influences on your sleeve in the best way possible.
Listening to this feels like listening to a passionate kid rave on and on about his favorite rappers and mixtapes. It's clear that he loves the scene he grew up on, and it's kind of endearing in its own backwards way. In his flows, you can hear influences from Bladee, Chief Keef, and Lil Peep. In his lyrics, you can hear influences from Darkthrone and Lifelover, even name dropping the former on ... read more
"Random bullshit, go!": The Album
I had always seen Heymylan discussion on AOTY without really listening to the music. They seemed really polarizing, and after experiencing their music for the first time through this album, I can see why. A lot of the beats sound like they were made by 5-year-olds on first glance, but they're weirdly competently made for how random the compositions seem. It creates this surreal vibe that definitely has the potential to make for something ... read more
the flow on "Switching Up On Me For The Bag" didn't really fit the beat and "U Cnt Tell Me Whut 2 D0" was a little drawn out but otherwise this was a nice and short ep with a couple of solid tracks on it
The people are not gonna like this one.
I'm sorry, but this is borderline unlistenable and by far the worst "leroy" album I've heard. The sampling feels so much more messy on this project than any from the Dariacore series to the point where I laughed my ass off at some of the drops (most notably on "#BOYLETMEKNOW"). It tries to push for an evolution in the sound of dariacore that it forgets what made dariacore so good. Samples on something like "Dairacore 2: ... read more
"Music to listen to~dance to~blaze to~pray to~feed to~sleep to~talk to~grind to~trip to~breathe to~help to~hurt to~scroll to~roll to~love to~hate to~learn Too~plot to~play to~be to~feel to~breed to~sweat to~dream to~hide to~live to~die to~GO TO" is many things. An EP way too long for it's own good, a bunch of ideas from their "amo" album stitched together into some weird electronic project, BMTH's most underrated project, you name it. The name also claims it's ... read more
This is a concept album about David Byrne's house burning down.
"Burning Down the House" is obviously about his house burning down.
"Making Flippy Floppy" is him getting angry at the society he lives in for not providing him emergency shelter (and not being able to pay his doctor back for helping his burns heal from the fire).
"Girlfriend is Better" is about him finally finding a house but the realtors gave him the wrong address ("What was the place? ... read more
Admittedly, I hadn't listened to "SNARL AT YOUR FRIENDS!!!" as a single before starting this, so I really had no idea what I was getting into. Truthfully, it took a bit to find my bearings to even start this review because:
A) Vylet Pony discourse is some of the worst the site has ever seen
and B) I have such mixing feelings on this mixtape that to tackle it all, I feared I would have to go track by track.
Luckily, I don't think I'll have to resort to that, so to save ... read more

“You keep saying everything is gonna be okay… Why does it have to be okay?”
We are going to need a lot of peanut butter and butter. I looooove putting butter on my peanut butter!
The Alamo! Does anyone remember the Alamo?
I'm sorry. I don't remember. Perhaps none of us do. Hey, is that Jon?
This album is like the goat licking torture method. At first, you're confused as to why it's not painful, but then it keeps going and going and going and going and it gets more and more agonizing each minute you endure it.

sematary try not to spam the "mask on posted like the strangers / what don't kill me just make me stranger" lines challenge (difficulty: IMPOSSIBLE)
Among my general friend group, I am notorious for having an irrational hatred for Vylet Pony's music and all discourse surrounding it (although the discourse hatred isn't entirely irrational). That's why I'm shocked to be writing this review to say that this is actually a really good song. It mixes Vylet Pony's styles of rock and EDM in a way that not only sounds good on its own but also sounds perfect for Ultrakill. The synth work is some of the best I've heard in ... read more
I really don't know what to say on this one. On one hand, there are some genuinely well-produced tracks on here. Throw on "Dip My Dick in Lean," and it's hard to go wrong with it. True, it does get boring at times due to the lack of variety in the track list as well as the mixtape itself being about a half-hour too long, but it does feel rewarding when those incredible songs do happen. On the other hand:
"Oh cum overflowing, yeah I'm back up
Big nuts in her twat ... read more
