Elite hooks across this entire thing. Weirdly getting like early Blink-182 vibes?? I would complain about the length of the tracks + the LP overall, but I think that considering how much this project relies on its hooks (they’re really good so it’s not a bad thing!!) means that short and sweet was the way to go.
HIGHLIGHTS: I Know Where Mark Chen Lives, I Used To Go To This Bar, Well, Don’t Seem Like You’ve Been Here Before?

finally getting to this album (with my expectations sky high)
MGMT's, arguably, most prestigous project is pretty alright! do I think it's overrated? yeah, kinda. do I think the theming and overall concept of this album is great? also yeah!
HIGHLIGHTS: Electric Feel, Kids, Future Reflections
SKIPS: 4th Dimensional Transition

Is “internet emo pop” a genre?
Actually really liked this project! This was a recommendation, so I had no clue what to expect going in, but I think that was for the best bc this really does sound like a project from the “internet’s hometown hero”.
HIGHLIGHTS: TV, glhf<3, Senses
SKIPS: N/A (but What you’re not is the weakest on here)

The couple of hits are the highlights of this album (thank you, american dream, classic), but there are a few hidden gems on here like wasted and goodbye song. Everything else is passable to just bad (nowhere gave me bad vibes idk).
HIGHLIGHTS: Thank You, Classic, American Dream, Wasted, Goodbye Song

I LOVE INDIE ROCK I LOVE INDIE ROCK I LOVE INDIE ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Very fun indie rock album from a band I found off of my discover weekly!! Some more synthy/electronic stuff with some actually somewhat harder rock tracks. I’m maybe a little biased just bc I’m moving out for college soon, and this entire album is about... well, moving out.
HIGHLIGHTS: Runaway, Your Apartment, Wasting Time, Need A Friend

only weirder feature than gorillaz would’ve been beethoven
Some of the muddier/messier tracks on this album might be a miss on me, but Rocky’s newest (and longest awaited) project has some serious dynamics, with an impressive range of sounds. All of the features are great, and the production (minus a few tracks) is very well done.
HIGHLIGHTS: NO TRESPASSING, STOP SNITCHING, WHISKEY (RELEASE ME), ROBBERY, DON'T BE DUMB / TRIP BABY

the kid laroi is sad too ok he can be sad :(((
It’s just okish forgettable r&b for sad ppl who got broken up with. There’s a few tracks I liked but for the most part it’s in one ear and out the other.
HIGHLIGHTS: PRIVATE, A COLD PLAY, MAYBE I'M WRONG
SKIPS: JULY, 5:21AM, THE MOMENT, THANK GOD, HER INTERLUDE

So it’s like country but not.
Very dynamic little EP; it gets a real range of sounds into the 5 tracks it has, with some great lyricism and instrumentation across the entire project. There weren’t any real duds or weak tracks, which I’d expect from an EP opposed to a full album. Great overall!!!!!
new cavetown! nice little album to start 2026 with. my fav song (no bark no bite) is the shortest song on the album tho, should have been a full track :(
HIGHLIGHTS: Rainbow Gal, Reaper, Tarmac, Sailboat
SKIPS: Baby Spoon, Straight Through My Head (DO IT!!!)
