do i think its good? yes, do i think its overrated, also yes. stevie wonder is clearly incredibly talented and sir duke fucking bangs.
holy shit dude. this album blew my fucking mind. extremely abstract, strange and avant-garde with so many different genres.
standout track: outside
i think its good, just a tad overrated. it drags quite a bit and feels a little repetitive overall. still pretty good, much more acoustic than phils other releases.
introspective, atmospheric and experimental. it does drag a little but its nothing too crazy.
so angsty and lonely in a way that is unparalleled in how beautifully haunting it is
dude i listened to this a month or to ago and fuckin loved it, cant believe i havent reviewed it yet
cold, dark, nihilistic and brutal as fuck. an eccentric but incredible fusion betweek folk and post-metal that i will remember for quite some time.
fuck dude this hits like a truck. some sick, revolutionary stoner metal that defined a genre for decades.
really great fusion between j rock and post hardcore. solid vocals, cool riffs and powerful instrumentals.
a strange, unique, and revolutionary hip hop record. one of the greats of abstract hip-hop that inspired many of the best.
one of the greatest albums of all time
qotsa as a band are really incredibly nostalgic for me because my parents are massive fans of them, and revisiting them is an incredible experience. i cant say anything bad about this album. the concept is very well done, the vocals are great, the lyricism is incredible, and the instrumentation is out of this fucking world.
pretty brisk angsty car seat headrest-adjacent release from big bro alex. the instrumentals were great and the vocals sounded better than on a seasons end. overall i do prefer a seasons end but this is still pretty good
i was expecting something as good, or if not better than is this it but no, im a little disappointed with it. there were like 3 or four good tracks but the rest were kinda filler. its not a bad album necessarily but it is compared to is this it
jesus man, miles davis may be the goat of jazz, and one of the most influential people in music history. if im not mistaken, this album was one of the earliest jazz albums to incorporate more "electronic" instruments and it really worked.
beautiful dream pop shoegaze track, i dont know how i discovered it but its really good
