Perfectly wierd, all of its faults are its greatest strength. every badly sung line, every blown out synth or drum, every strange nonsensical concept, its all in service to a impeccably executed atmosphere.

I retract my previous review. For as great as this album can be at times, there are some songs on here that are genuinely unlistenable

Avoids pretty much every problem i have with their first album. Its expressive without being over the top, its nerdy without being corny, and its sounds much better too. One of my favorites in terms of concept records, all the lyrics are full of symbolism and take a bit to piece together.

The best of green days catalog for me, great early pop punk stuff, not super influential or anything but just some great music and sometimes thats all you need

My Favorite album of all time. Truly a feat to create a manic and emo rock album without it being corny at all. every thing this album does matches, it never stops building its sound. Tons of memorable lyrics that have double meanings and symbolism to death of all kinds, Generally incredible on all fronts.
