This project has some good ideas (even one or two good songs) but the messy production really weighs this down. Plus I don't think zheani should be leaning into hyperpop more. It doesn't really suit her as opposed to the prodigy inspired sound from her previous project which really gave zheani her own recognizable sound apart from every other trap metal artist. This takes the the electronic sound and the hooks from PHM and grits them up to the point of being unrecognisable and tops it off by turning up the Ministry influence to 11 while also crunching the hell out of the guitars. All this to amazing effect as listening to music has never made me feel like punching a wall as much as ... read more
