AFI has taken the Cure-like sound they have been toying with through 3 albums cycles and have added their energetic roots that made AFI and have created an album that not only rewards fans of both tastes, but brings in more individuals to what make AFI great.
Pure dropkick song writing. Nothing ever changed and for that we thank them for putting out pure material. If you love them, then you love this album. If you haven't been a fan of the last two records, well...then...sorry.
With the vocals coming from the vein of the smoking popes with a dash of morrisey of the smiths. Surfer's Blood brings us an album with a more together sound and lyrical and vocal bite that we all needed to hear
