Kanye at his most emotional and unfiltered. Genuinely a beautiful album with so much meaning and beautiful production.
I don’t get the hate for this album, this project is absolutely phenomenal. Yeah the lyricism is on the weaker side but Peggy is never known for his lyricism. A lot of beats on this album are really well put together and Peggy flows effortlessly on them. A lot of strong tracks, overall I really like this album.
This is seriously one of the best albums I’ve ever heard. No skips, every track is perfect, like seriously.
Checked this album out as part of my journey through listening to some non-hip hop albums, I’ve listened to a few albums outside of hip-hop before such as off the wall but nothing really made me feel the way I felt with this album.
I was pleasantly surprised by the rich instrumentation and vocals. The tracks hit extremely hard because of how soulful and richly composed they feel, Prince sounds like he’s singing from the soul on this album. To me this album is almost skipless with ... read more
It gets better every listen. Mobb Deep’s best album in my opinion. Lyricism goes hard as fuck and really stick with you. not to mention the dark, gritty, timeless production that is just excellently made. A true masterpiece, this is what real hip-hop is about.
Pretty good for modern standards, has a lot of great beats and the lyricism isn’t bad either. Overall an enjoyable listen
Great album, very classy and some amazing beats. Lyricism it isn’t that bad either it’s pretty good. Very replayable.
Lyrically not very impressive, production is great though. The lyricism really shines on tracks like Family Business and Jesus Walks. While the production carries the album, regardless it’s still a great listen.
Very enjoyable listen. It obviously has flaws but it’s meant to be a fun album which I like. Even the features do great.
Amazing album, production aged really well and is a great listen front to back. however De La Orgee to description is the most boring part of the album, it’s just boring. Other than that I love this album.
Pretty solid. Great production and Lyricism and most of the features fit the album well, mainly the rappers who worked with Big L when he was still alive. The only thing I don’t like about this album is how short some of the songs are, there are like 5 tracks that are 1-2 mins long. Overall this album is pretty good and I see myself returning to many of the tracks.
A small improvement from Step Into the Arena. Guru’s flow and lyricism is more developed on the album as well as DJ premier’s production. There are no bad tracks and this album is a very enjoyable listen front to back.
